Former ROY Eun Soo Jang lost her KLPGA card last year. She won this week's Dream Tour event in a playoff at 11 under. It was a rare three-rounder with a 200+ million won purse, huge for the Dream Tour! Congrats!
T6 Ye Won Lee (looks like she got bumped up from the Jump Tour?) T6 Sang Hee Han T10 Ina Yoon T23 Hyun Ju Yoo
Also Notables: So Hye Park, So Hyeon Ahn T32, Missed Cut, Bo Mi2 Park, Kyu Jung Baek, Jeongmin Moon (last week winner)
On the Dream Tour, Yoon Ah Heo became the first player to ever shoot a 59!!! It looks like this was a qualifier tournament for the tour, not an actual event, but still a pretty amazing achievement! She had 11 birdies and an eagle.
Ye Won's first win! That moves her to 4th on the Dream Tour money list!
[EDIT]: I saw an article. It said that last week's winner Dasom Ma finished joint second along with Eun Soo Jang, who currently leads the Dream Tour money list. Only 12 players finished under par on the challenging layout; Ye Won was 10 under and won by 4 shots.
Congratulation to Dan Yu Park (-9) for the Hoban Tour win
Notables: So Hye Park, Hyun Ju Yoo T34 -5, So Hyeon Ahn T50 -4
Fun fact: Dan Yu Park was a big star in Screen Golf before she decided to take a shot at the real deal. She was born in 1995, making her the same age as Jin Young Ko. She is 2nd on the Dream Tour money list and has a real chance to become the first screen golfer to make the big tour! She has two wins and two 4ths this year.
Below: last week, Park played at the Hanwha with the top two rookies on this year's KLPGA, Heeji Kim (center) and Ga Eun Song (L). She missed the cut.
Ina Yoon is even younger than Ye Won Lee, having turned 18 in May and joined the Dream Tour in July. She'd already had three runner-up finishes, but this was her first win. The win moved her to 6th on the money list!
Here's something fun: highlights from Ina Yoon's first professional win on the Jump Tour earlier this year. A seven shot victory! The title calls it The Birth of a Star. In the first round of this event she had THREE eagles. She's a bomber apparently. Let's see if she can keep it up on the Dream Tour and, maybe next year, the KLPGA!
(PS - how cool is it that they televise Jump Tour events in Korea?)
