Currently watching Round Three on the rogue link above ... the sound is two or three seconds behind the video. I just heard some cheering after a shot by the SS Feng ... I guess there must be some people watching from the residential properties lining the course, although I haven't seen any of them ... maybe they're indoors as it's 98F. The broadcast is switching between the leaders and Yui.
********
Round Three ... the shutter bugs should be waiting for Charley Hull to knock the aviator glasses off her head on her follow-through ... sooner or later it's gonna happen and that's the money shot.

I hope everyone can appreciate KT's outfit today, from the only photo that the Getty photographer took of her. He must have forgotten to bring his telephoto lens. It looks like she wasn't kidding about her priorities today, since she finished in a 3-way tie for DFL. Don't complain ... MHL (-4) is still pitching a Getty shutout.

Patty T. clunks a tree on the left at the par-5 9th ... and it bounces back into the middle of the fairway. Then she knocks her second into the greenside bunker, giving her an awkward stance. The bunker shot is not good ... and she makes a long putt for birdie. Just give her the bath robe now.

BTW, Getty is in the business of licensing/selling photos ... I'm missing the news or artistic value for this one:

So Yeon had a five birdie clean card through seventeen holes. But she made bogey on eighteen, still a really good score. I wonder if she went for it in two. Her bogey on eighteen was a lot better than Ariya 8 and Thompson 9.
I don't understand going for it in two unless you, need an Eagle the final round. Or have a medium iron to the green.

Jeongeun Lee6 got to minus six three under through twelve holes. But made bogeys on thirteen, seventeen and eighteen. Why she loses concentration like that, is something I'm sure she will figure out.

It will be shameful if there's a winner who didn't turn pro at age 11.

Anyone in the U.S. interested in watching Yui, NASA or Saso on Sunday will have to look for rogue video on YT with this search:
ANAインスピレーション
I see they moved up #18 to 474 yards again on Saturday ... nobody cares, it's lay-up city for everyone.
Erika Hara's game doesn't travel (or maybe not yet) ... bombed out Friday, just as she bombed out of the USWO last December.

Mirim Lee is still close enough to make a run for the Title. However she has to play great and get some help from Patty. She could have used that short birdie putt she missed on eighteen.
I'm afraid Inbee is too far back for the win...maybe.
Jin Young didn't have a good round, but a top five is easily within reach for her.
Another good round for Gabrielle Ruffles, four birdies and one bogey. Also she will be paired with Sei Young Kim tomorrow which is great . Sei Young had a great round of five birdies and one bogey.
Yui Kawamoto, not a good day, two birdies with three bogeys and a double. Still a good round tomorrow will help her confidence going forward.

Sung Hyun Tseng will have the last laugh. SH Park needs a coach. She can't just depend on her self coaching anymore. If there is a little bit of wind, she can't score. She needs a break from the tour and just get coached for a new swing or develop a low swing that can navigate windy conditions. Otherwise, like you said it will be a la Tseng. Have to kinda agree - also she needs to get back in the gym and rediscover her distance, or else retool her game for longer irons and hybrids on the 2nd shots. Needs to keep it in the fairway too - esp on a course like Mission Hills. Supposedly she's recovered from her shoulder injury, but really hard to tell. Or maybe it' just she needs her rabid fan support in person. Yani, by the way, seems to still have a great short game, but can't find the fairway or the green in regulation.

I’ll have to go to this event to see why it’s so popular. Every hole looks the same.

This was a wonderful event in the 1980s & 1990s. I'd like a nickel for every mullet hairdo I saw. I was pretty good at sneaking into the clubhouse bar. I always had trouble striking up conversations. In those days I wore long pants-- tan or burgundy corduroys. Levis of course.

Round 3
This round started so promisingly. Sei Young, So Yeon and Lee6 were charging up the leaderboard, and Mirim, Jin Young and Inbee all were within reach of the leader. But none of them played well enough to stay close, alas.
Let's face it, this one is over. I have absolutely no doubt that the Thai kid is going to win this. This course sets up so well for her: she's long, and she's playing in 100 degree weather when she's from a tropical country and is probably used to it. And absolutely every time she needed a break she got it.
I've seen this script now several times: a player who has never shown the slightest indication of this level of talent suddenly can't do anything wrong for an entire tournament. Lindberg or Popov redux. Oh well, the Koreans can't win every Major, and they have won the past three.
Did they show Jin Young Ko even once? The bias against the Koreans is maddening. She's the fricking number one golfer in the world. I guarantee you that if it had been Ochoa, or Sorenstam, or Webb in that position back when they were #1, there is no way on Earth they wouldn't be covering them extensively. Yeah, Jin Young ain't gonna win, but she's on the leaderboard. Cripes.
Well, I'm still hoping that we can see at least one great round out of the Sisters tomorrow, and we get a number of them into the top ten and hopefully they can at least scare Tava... Keep hwaiting, Sisters!!!!

I’ll have to go to this event to see why it’s so popular. Every hole looks the same. It's always been my least favorite Major*. I'll never understand why so many seem to love it. * at least until they forced the Evian to be one. I like Evian, just not as a Major...

Keep hwaiting, Sisters!!!! Omg, drives me nuts with JYK because she's very obviously not just another player who made the #1 ranking.. she's likely the next GOAT. Her game is on another level. Players like her don't come along often. I can't help but root for her at big events like this because I want more people to see for themselves how amazing she is. I mean, what we are seeing from her right now is a slump.. no one else comes close to slumps this good! An actual 'generational player' out there and they're rambling about nonsense all the time. It's maddening! Ah well, maybe it's better for her without even more pressure and expectations... and I'm sure she'll win plenty this year. It's just frustrating.
