I double-counted to be sure ... they are up to 155 players ... Uehara was added and I don't know who else. Gee wiz, make it easy on everyone ... why don't they just post the tee times with TBD spots like in past years?
No tee times posted yet, but Britney Yada was added as the 156th player.
Go Britney the Queen of the Cactus Tour. She worked at a Golf Course Bear Creek where I met her. That was two or three years ago when she thought she would be on the LPGA by now. I talked to one of her friends from there. She said along with the Cactus Tour wins, she cleans up against the men in Pot Games.
Nichols is hyping Amari Avery(above), but I think it's justified. She looked like a genuine up-and-comer when I saw her (age 14) at Echo Lake CC and has only improved since then. I have tentative plans to hit the USWA at Westchester in August and she would definitely be on my radar. She's committed to Southern Cal, or maybe not ... excerpt from article:
Avery, the 2019 California Women’s Amateur champ, has committed to USC but signed up for LPGA Q-School this year. She’ll likely turn professional if she earns her card. Either way, she plans to get started on her senior year of high school this summer and launch her next chapter (college or the LPGA) in January of 2022.
