Spring Lake, NJ - May 10
The players' info sheet doesn't say how many spots are available. In the last few years, the NJ qualifiers had two spots and two alternates ... considering the 2021 field of 59 mostly innocuous players, I expect two and two again. But, there are exceptions, the two biggest being Bianca P. and Cheyenne Woods in a threesome. Another notable threesome includes Nuria Iturrios (LET veteran) and Cindy Ha (swimming pool veteran). A couple of really good NJ ams I saw at a USWA qualifier in 2019 will be here, Megha Ganne and Katie Li. Other recognizable names include retired LPGAer Cindy LaCrosse, ancient retired LPGAer Jean (The Dream) Bartholomew, Samantha Wagner (T-2 on Symetra tour last week), Savannah Vilaubi, Brynn Walker and the Yale U. walking stick, Ami Gianchandani.
It's about 42 miles to get there ... I hope it's worth it. The players' info sheet says "spectators are welcome", so I better not get hassled by anyone. After all, "The Big Guy" just said it was okay.
Sophia Bae of NJ will also tee it up ... saw her at KJ Choi's NJ event in 2019 ... will be freshman Dukie in Fall of 2021, I assume.

The St. Louis qualifier was halted by bad weather at 8:34 AM and resumed at 9:48 AM, but there are still thunderstorms in the Accuweather forecast thru 3 PM. They might be extended into Thursday, which also has bad weather in the forecast, but less of it. Fifty players are going for two spots ... all bad scores in the early going, except D. Darquea (Even thru five holes).

Humble, TX - May 3
No info yet on how many spots are available ... based upon this dishwater field, it won't be more than two. If battle scars are meaningful, then Dori Carter and Kendall Dye should pass. The other 76 players ... bleh, nobody cares about them.

Maja Stark (71) and Emma Talley (73) are the top-two finishers after Round One in St. Louis, while Paula Reto flopped with a 79.

It should have been Laura in that bathtub with those golf balls. She's so pretty Bobby Cole married her twice.

I wonder why Gabriela Ruffels went down to Florida. It would have been better if she played in one of the Sites in California. She is more use to playing on the type of grass in California as opposed to Florida's. However I am not making excuses for her shooting seventy nine. With her Golfing skills it shouldn't have made that much difference.

They ran out of daylight at Brentwood CC and will start a playoff Tuesday at 7:30 AM PST. No info is posted on how many spots are available. At a bare minimum, the playoff will have three players who shot 144, Haley Moore, Amari Avery and Jenny Coleman. Three more players shot 146, AVD, Katherine Muzi and Amelia Garvey. Robynn Ree (147) is probably finished.

They have flash flood warnings in Atlanta. There are 53 players remaining in the field and three of them haven't teed off yet for their first round. There are 24 names in the DNS or WD category ... hmm, it's not like these players had a tournament to go to this week (Symetra tour is off) ... the lodging expense must be adding up (Motel 6 stopped being cheap long ago).
********
Stephenson (69-68) drubbed everyone in NC. But, there are two more spots available and more than two players will fight it out in OT later.
