What American newspaper would have remotely looked like examples below if Megha Ganne had won? Here is a fairer question: What American newspaper would have made a Ganne win the lead story in the sports section? What If questions are impossible to answer with certainty ... but we kinda know the answers, don't we?

I am tempted to draft an essay and send it to the Atlantic, about how ladies professional golf is a possible bellwether of a broader American backslide or some shit like that. The New Yorker might be a better fit for this piece. I can see a 12,000-word treatise over 9 pages, interspersed by a few cartoons of a psychiatrist taking notes while his patient (lying on the couch) says something mildly amusing.

Does Ron Sirak live in a Fantasy World. " Lexi knows how to get back up." "After a disappointing forty one on the back nine, Thompson got back up and stood strong." This is how she stood strong, "I really didn't feel like I hit any bad shots." I guess she thought the wedge in the bunker on eighteen from the fairway was a good shot.

You Guys and I mean the American Public and Sports Journalists are way to sycophantic about your sports stars LPGA is hard to cover. Only a few people cover it full time so when they really call it like they see it, so to speak, the whole tour focuses on what they said. When a writer says something about Rory or Tiger it is sorta lost in the ether. Then there’s respect and earnings gap. People are right to try to support these athletes. I think the individual people covering the women are all devoted and have interesting things to add to the events. There just needs to be more of them. The best coverage right know is when a couple of real LPGA nerds go at it on a podcast and let it fly.

I'm gladdened by the recent success of Japan, Thailand, and now Phillippines, I think it's good for the sport.
Somebody at the LET is in agreement ... went to that website and now I see two additional events after November 28:
Ladies European Thailand Championship (4 rounds)
Potential Philippines Event - TBC (3 rounds)
Each will have a total purse of €300,000 (about $365K USD). I wouldn't expect much spillover from KLPGAers as they will be playing for a lot more money in Vietnam and Singapore in December.
