While The New Ko is away, the mice will play. I tried watching this on Friday, but it's impossible ... a field of 25, plus a bunch of ams, I just don't care.
DK on Thursday ... I'm drawing a blank on that fat wedge ... TM maybe? I'm too lazy to research her past WITB.

Round 2 In Gee shot her best round since 2018 today! She's still 4 back, but she's right in the heat of the battle. Rocket had a good day, but at 2 under she is probably too far back at this point. Looking forward to seeing In Gee on TV. Hope she can stay in the hunt. Hwaiting! In Gee meets the press.

"It'll be different not playing with the celebrities. I was trying to get into certain people's group but I guess that's not happening tomorrow."

Hopefully Kang plays well enough that the $20 Dicks Sporting Goods store outfit is acceptable on the course someday.

Round 3 In Gee is continuing to play pretty well; I can't remember the last time she shot three straight rounds in the 60s, even on a course that is pretty easy. Alas, it won't get her in the winner's circle unless she produces an insanely good round tomorrow. I'll be rooting hard to see if she can get her first top five since the '19 BMW Championship. A really great round would be an incredible booster to her confidence, so hoping to see it. I just hope they show her. The worst thing about this event is how easy it is to skip a Korean, even if she's in the top five, because they have so many "celebrities" to focus on, not to mention Americans. Still, they really went out of their way to avoid her today; I think they didn't show her until her final putt of the day. Sigh. With the other Sisters at the bottom of the leaderboard, In Gee will be carrying the banner. Hwaiting!!!

Congratulation to the First Round Queen Jessica Korda for the win. I guess all that practice paid off. Danielle Kang kind of stumbled a little down the stretch. I know that she is unhappy for not getting the win, but still a great first Tournament. Really good Tournament for In Gee Chun. She made birdie on three of the last four holes, to finish solo fourth.

Stupidest question of the press conference, adroitly handled by Jessica: Q: If we brought you back out to 18 and gave you ten of those putts, how many would you make? JK: I dunno...all I needed was one.

Round 4 I'll admit I was pretty annoyed by how thoroughly they ignored In Gee yesterday, so I blew off today's coverage. Sounds like I didn't miss much; there was a pretty funny twitter rant by some fans about how they spent way too much time focusing on the final group, Cheyenne Woods and the male amateurs and almost totally ignored In Gee and most of the LPGAers. Having said that, congrats to Dumbo on four strong rounds! She finished with a 67 for four straight rounds in the 60s and a solo 4th. I'm so happy she pulled that off, her best finish since October of 2019, and I'm eagerly awaiting her next event(s) to see if she can back that up with more great golf. Sisters hwaiting! PS - here's the twitter thread if you want a few laughsIn Gee MIA
