We only have a field of 25 here. My field rating is just 24.5% (down from 33% last year). The breakdown is 25% from the Priority List and 24% from the Rolex Rankings.
This will surely be the lowest ranked field list of the year (as it was last year).
It not only lacks depth, just 25 players, but many of the top stars including the top two players in the world are skipping the event.
Very strange that the "Tournament of Champions" will have four players who aren't even ranked in the Rolex Rankings top 100. They are: Annie Park #108 Hee Young Park #110 Cydney Clanton #121 Pernilla Lindberg #158

Isn't the title supposed to be the Diamond RESORTS Tournament of Champions?

Thankfully I'll have a player I like in the field! [EDIT: this is supposed to show In Gee Chun as reported by Twitter; looks like that feature isn't working?] In Gee at the Diamond Resorts

Q: Do you listen to Korean music? DK: My Korean friends on tour send me some stuff but I don't keep up with a lot of KPOP...I think I know really old Korean music, like JYP. Q: And Big Bang? DK: I don't know that one. I watch Big Bang Theory!

Yea, she was on the wrong side of the course for the coverage...she should be by the cameras tomorrow.

Nice article, thanks! He could have added that In Gee also won the Japan Women's Open...
I often feel that In Gee is primarily struggling with her mental issues. Sounds like she had a pretty good round today. Yeah, the triple wasn't ideal, but she isn't going to make a big mistake every round, and if she can keep playing consistently the rest of the time, she'll climb back up the rankings again.

Round 1
I only watched about half of the coverage, but it quickly became clear that In Gee wasn't going to get much coverage. Hoping they give her a little screen time in round 2.
Hee Young and MJ played so-so, but we saw HYP create a bit of early-season magic last year, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that she at least can do better on Friday.
Sisters hwaiting!

I have been as smitten with In Gee as anyone else. But I find her a hot mess, and wonder if she needs some real help. Also, nice to see US media start to recognize the KLPGA as an entity that exists.

Can't complain about In Gee in round 2! 65! Fabulous round of golf. So basically, she has played two rounds of nearly flawless golf, with one bad swing that cost her a triple. She even had an eagle today. In Gee Hwaiting!!!! Here is a ridiculous putt In Gee drained!
