An upbeat update for KT's 53k IG followers https://www.instagram.com/p/CI35eQrjL1A pargolf.my/kelly-tan-eager-to-end-season-on-high-note-in-maiden-appearance-at-cme-group-tour-championship/ Kelly added that she has already shrugged off the memories of her disappointing outing at last week’s US Women’s Open at Champions Golf Club in Houston, where she missed the cut in her 16th Major start.
“Last week was just a bad week and I’m ready to move on. My ball-striking has been great all year and last week I felt that the fairways were cut a little too tight and it was wet. So that makes it difficult when you mis-hit a little bit,” said Kelly, who hails from Batu Pahat, Johor.
“I have my coach (Gary Gilchrist) with me this week and we’re fine-tuning a little here and there. I feel ready and confident again for the week.”
And Kelly is not letting her optimism get dampened by the fact that the Greg Norman-designed Gold Course of Tiburon Golf Club is unfamiliar territory.
“I have never played here before this week, so I played 18 on Monday, 9 on Tuesday and 9 on Wednesday. I felt getting two looks at the course will help me familiarise myself with it. It is pretty straightforward and in front of you. The wind can be challenging if it starts blowing from the northwest, so I’ll keep an eye on that.
“The greens are a lot smaller compared to Champions Golf Club, so hitting it to the middle of the greens will get me a few good looks at birdies,” noted Kelly, who is currently in 37th position on the LPGA Tour’s season-long Race To CME Globe standings.

This championship is suppose to be for only the best players on the LPGA tour. It doesn't seem to be that way this year. Because of the pandemic several big names either didn't play in enough tournaments to make enough money to qualify, or didn't play at all. Others, with all the weeks off between tournaments, never got on the right track. Ali McDonald Ewing, a winner this year, could not attend.
My field rating is a very disappointing 58% (62% from Priority List, 54% from Rolex Rankings) down from 68% last year.
Players that usually play in this event but are not teeing it up this week because of one of the above reasons include:
Jeong Eung Lee6 Sung Hyun Park Hyo-Joo Kim Mi Jung Hur Shanshan Feng Eun-Hee Ji Ali Ewing Bronte Law Su Oh Mi Hyang Lee Marina Alex Chella Choi Annie Park In-Kyung Kim Sandra Gal Pornanong Phatlum Angel Yin

On the LPGA site...under tournament entries, she does not appear. I do see now that she has a tee time.

The LPGA website was half-right ... MHL's looper (Jesus Mozo, I assume) caught the bug, so she became a WD. Robynn Ree is now in the field, although the tee times have not been updated yet.

It’s her due for taking the job as a television entertainer (aka pro golfer) to the next level. No Wiesy-like mail it in interviews from NG. No playing in her pajamas. She didn’t ask people to watch, she made them.

LEXI(TM) leads by one shot at -5 thru 7 holes ... this is her last chance to keep her annual calendar year victory streak alive ... a statement that will be beaten over your head for 12 hours this week.

Might as well have invited Paige Spiranac, if they are going to make a complete mockery of the event.

Whoa, too much Nat Nat hating here and elsewhere ... although I agree that she is washed up. But, I think everyone is missing an important point: a woman golfer has discovered the Rocky Marciano lifestyle, which is pretty amazing when you think about it. In case you didn't know, there are stories about the ex-heavyweight champ departing his home with 30 cents in his pocket, traveling around the U.S. for three weeks, and returning home with the same 30 cents in his pocket - HE WAS COMPED FOR EVERYTHING!!! Does The Pink One know this? Why should she worry about Monday qualifiers and world ranking points ... she should announce her retirement NOW and start cleaning up for the next few years starting in 2021.
Push the panic button, LEXI(TM) is now in a six-way tie for first at -4. The Fassi-cam is now being dusted off. The New Ko is -4 and after watching her down the stretch at the USWO, she looks primed to KILL everyone this week.
This monotonous alligator farm has already produce a double for Dr. Noh at #2 and a triple for The ECP at #2.

Jin Young is not the type, but I hope she takes not getting a sponsor's invite personally and goes to town this week.
She's like that girl who doesn't get invited to the big dance, but shows up anyways dressed to kill with a boy toy on her arm!
(PS - if she wins, she could win the year ending money list with just four tournaments played!)
Hwaiting!
