The field for this tournament is stronger than one would think considering it is the week before the U.S Women's Open. In a turn around from most of the tournaments this year it is the top American players who have chosen to sit this one out, and the Asian players (with one big notable exception) who are all here. My field rating is a 57%. Which ranks it right in the middle of the 16 tournaments this year. Breaking it down further, the field rating from the LPGA Priority List is 67%, and the rating from the Rolex Rankings is 47%.
Key players skipping the event this week include: Sei Young Kim Brooke Henderson Danielle Kang Nelly Korda Lexi Thompson Carlotta Ciganda Lizette Salas Ally McDonald (a questionable key player, but she did finish 1st and second in the last two events).

Ally McDonald is now Ally Ewing.
*******
Tee times are out -
Dr. Noh is with Jasmine and The Rocket
Dumbo is with Crusty and Janet
MHL gets two Euros I don't care about ... btw, a Google-mushed Korean article indicated that her U.S base is now DFW/Texas ... quite possible as Altus Performance is located there.

Thanks Phil. I wrote a note on a piece of paper saying "who is Ally Ewing." I never put 2 and 2 together. That changes my fiels rating to 58.5%

Not to be picky, but So Yeon was technically JTBC Golf Magazine's Perfect Woman, not Golf Digest's! Round 1 Not a great start for the Sisters, but most of the big names had decent days in tough conditions. Jin Young Ko and MJ Hur sneaked into 10th at even par, three back. So Yeon Ryu, Sung Hyun Park and Inbee were at +1, T18th, and In Gee and Lee 6 were just a shot behind them. Hopefully a few of these ladies can solidify themselves into contention on Friday. Jin Young looked pretty sharp with her irons, she just had a few slight putting mishaps and a couple of mistakes like on the tough 18th. Lee 6 also made bogey on that final hole. Sisters hwaiting!

Minjee shows a little personality for a change. ******** KT booster Grant Boone praised Kelly's "fine season" today, rattling off her record this season. Would've been nice if GC showed at least one shot...-3 on the day was one of the better scores. Just 3 shots off the lead heading into the weekend, it looks like the EMP will be grouped with Nasa tomorrow.

In Bee Park -3 and Jin Young Ko -2 in great shape going into moving day.
Not far away are Sung Hyun Park even, In Gee Chun +1 and MJ Hur +1.
So Yeon Ryu +2 and Jeongeun Lee6 +4 has a little catching up to do.
Jessica Korda the former First Round Queen had a couple of nice two under par rounds.

Aigoo ... MHL's mercifully short list of 80s on the LPGA tour:
2012 USWO - 86 2013 LPGA KEB Hana Bank - 82 2014 Evian Championship - 80 2020 VOA - 81
