The 36th edition kicks off Friday with a field of 96 (cut is top-50 plus ties). I was surprised that Sky Kim skipped TOTO last week (or did she NOT qualify?!). Well, she's back this week.
TV Asahi will have delayed coverage for Saturday and Sunday (Japan time) -
Sat. 3 PM
Sun. 4 PM

Any rogue live videos on YT for Round One won't begin until at least 11 PM EST.
I'm still waiting for Mika Miyazato to win on the JLPGA as tour member ... was not a member when she won the JWO in 2010 & 2013 ... so far, so good, tied for 1st at -4 thru ten holes. Why she can't maintain this pace for three rounds is a mystery. Her swing is better than Chie Arimura's, who was able to pick up a win in Japan after leaving the U.S. BTW, I'm looking at the 2012 results at Portland ... MM won over some damn good players on that leaderboard's top-11, including Bam Bam, Winbee, Crusty, Ryu, Wie, Inky and Yani.
Sky is on fire (-4 thru nine holes) while Yui is lost (+5 thru nine holes)

My favorites are off to a bad start, Yuri Kawamoto +6, Kotone Hori +4. At least the Legend Yuri Fudoh is minus two. Yuri is coming back she just made birdie. I didn't notice before but Kotone made a triple bogey on the first hole. She just made birdie, go make that cut tomorrow. Kotone Hori and Yui Kawamoto +6 has work to do tomorrow. Great round by Ha Neul Kim minus seven leading the Tournament. I hope there will be a Broadcast somewhere.

Yui made birdie on three of her first four holes. But she just gave them back with a double on sixteen and bogey on seventeen. Edit: Double bogey on eighteen, to tie Kotone at plus eight.
Bo-Mee is making a run at six under through hole thirteen.

Kotone Hori made three birdies on her back nine to finish even par for the day. She kept trying anyway, knowing she couldn't make the cut.
Yui Kawamoto great start of birdies three of four holes. Just kept her out of last place. She had five birdies but three double bogeys.
The Legend Yuri Fudoh had a tough day at the office, plus nine.

The LIVE broadcast started 70 minutes ago, but I don't see any legit streams on YT carrying it. No big deal, I'll get up later at 2 AM for the 85-minute regular broadcast.
Sakura Koiwai on the practice green Sunday morning.
Erika Kikuchi is -1 thru three holes, -4 overall ... Team Yasuda is Even thru four holes, -3 overall.
