My field rating for this tournament is 72.5%. Although it is the strongest field of the year so far (the ANA Inspiration was 71.5%), it is way down from 86% last year.
My breakdown is 81.25% from the LPGA Priority List, and 63.75% from the Rolex Rankings.
The reason for the big drop is a number of highly rated players are skipping the event. They include:
Jin Young Ko Jeong Eun Lee6 Hyo-Joo Kim Mi Jing Hur Marina Alex Shanshan Feng So Yeon Ryu I.K. Kim
It also appears that last year's field of 156 players has been cut to 132

I kinda like a course with only two par fives; it makes it feel like this won't be a bomber week.
In Gee won her first Major in Pennsylvania, around 50 miles from where the KPMG will take place. I hope she can feed off the vibes of all her supporters in the area, even if they won't be there in person to cheer her on. Good luck to her! If she somehow pulls off a win here, it would be an incredible completion of her comeback!

If you did a query NOW in Getty Images (sports) for "KPMG" covering the last 72 hours, you'd get back 18 pics taken on Tuesday at Aronimink. Believe it not, Sei Young Kim's name is in eight of the captions, how about that! Uh oh, wait a minute. That's Christina Kim, non BadA$$ in the sample below ... same mistake in the other seven pics. Well, you know the old saying: If you've seen one, you've seen 'em all. Sometimes they put in corrections later. By the way, they got it right for Davies, Stephenson, Popov and Knight.

Kelly's been knocking on the door. Could this be the week? Kelly is looking forward to translating her good form into victory soon.
“I’ve been playing better every week and I’m very happy with where my game is,” said Kelly.
“Also, I believe my attitude has been great this year. I know I belong out here and feel that I have a chance each week (for the title).”
****** www.thestar.com.my/sport/golf/2020/10/07/upswing-for-kellyBuoyed by a string of good performances, Kelly believes she has what it takes to keep herself in that bracket to seal her spot.
“I’m extremely excited with my position in the Race to CME Globe standings, ” said Kelly, who finished a creditable tied-18th at the Shoprite LPGA Classic last week.
“At 38th in the ranking, I believe I have a good chance.
“I’m determined to do my best in the last few events to make the season finale. That’s my ultimate goal.”
Kelly has been impressive on her return to the Tour this season after regaining her playing status through the Qualifying School last year.
She has only missed one cut in 10 appearances, notching four top-25 finishes highlighted by a joint-ninth placing at the Marathon Classic.
Kelly will also try to make what is already a fruitful season even better by qualifying for the US Women’s Open.
And there is a chance for her to do so when she competes in the PGA Championship in Pennsylvania tomorrow.
Kelly will tee off for her third Major appearance this year with her sights set on a top 10 finish. The leading three golfers in the top 10, not otherwise exempt, will earn their spots for the US Women’s Open.
Should Kelly qualify, it will be the second time she participates in all Major tournaments in a season since 2016.

The Korean media market must have informed Getty Images that they were dummkopfs for its C. Kim/BadA$$ foul up ... the correction is in place now.

This is one year where KPMG cannot force all its employees to put on blue tee shirts and follow Lewis and the other staffers like a mob.

KT is the social media queen. Aside from keeping her 51k IG & Twitter followers updated, she's actually most active on FB, where she posts FB Stories... videos, selfies, even her COVID-19 test results...several times a day. You should all be relieved that I havent figured out how to embed that FB stuff on here. https://www.instagram.com/p/CGDmtXLjITF
