This one runs Sept. 18-20 at Shinminami Aichi Country Club (Mihama Course), about 30 miles south of central Nagoya. Shibuno Fever won't be there to defend her title, which was an insane victory coming from eight shots back to win on Sunday with a 64. It's the standard field of 108 with top-50 plus ties making the cut after Round Two. The big new name for Team Korea this week is Seon Woo Bae.
This channel will cover Sunday's broadcast at 4:05 PM (Japan time) -

Last year, the site below had some kind of free stream ... don't know about this year. -

Yuka Saso walking past the sign announcing the annual driving contest after Saturday's round, which also has the 2019 top-three finishers. Saso is undecided on participating ... the sign-up deadline is 5 PM on Friday. Lala Anai won it the last two years ... hits a big sweeping draw, but has no idea where it will end up.

FYI, Japan's minor minor league is playing this week, The Shizuoka Shimbun & SBS Ladies (not SBS of Korea ... Japan has its own SBS TV channel). It runs Friday thru Sunday and it appears that they will have free(?) live streaming (Japan time):
FRI 7 AM - 5:30 PM
SAT 7 AM - 5:30 PM
SUN 7 AM - 1:30 PM
I don't know how they'll do it, but go to this site at the proper time:
It's a field of 108 teeing off from #1 in foursomes every 11 minutes:

The free stream for Japan's minor minor league is working perfectly as they are showing the par-4 first hole.
Some of these players are just ... dreadful. Case in point: Kacie Komoto (USA & Northwestern), who made ¥0 in eleven Step Up starts last year.
Her opening drive was a high slice into the right woods ... it might OB there, but I'm not sure ... some guy sitting over there held up a blue flag. She takes a ball from her pocket and hits her provisional into the same area. She goes to her motor cart for another ball, moves to the right side of the tee and aims left ... and hits her next provisional into the right woods. After another trip to the cart, she brings back a 3-wood this time, tees up her third provisional on the right side and hits a straight one down the left side. Miraculously, she ended up with only a bogey ... I guess she found her first drive. She is +3 thru seven holes. Her swing will never get her to Japan's big tour.
Couldn't find a pic of Hana Lee, who has a sound and stylish swing ... birdied #1 and is Even after nine holes. It's odd that she is here after playing last week's major and she's not the only player in that boat.

I took a look for about five minutes, no English names so no. I did see one drive go in the woods left and one took a trip down the cart path. It's different with their clubs being carried on a cart. If I have time I will try to catch the big Tour.

Did I call it?! Hana Lee (-2) is T-2 after Round One in the minor minor league.
At +3, Kacie Komoto is within the early cut line, don't ask me how.

There is more than one Hinako in Japan ... Hinako Yamauchi is delivering a good game and good visuals as she is tied for 1st at -4 almost midway through the minor minor league event. Hana Lee hanging in there nicely at two shots back.
******
Aigoo, 393 pics posted from Round Two of Descente (so far) and The Superstar only made one of them. I doubt she'll be in one of the rogue YT videos tomorrow AM, but she should be 'cause she is getting it done this week ... currently -3 and two shots better than the cut line. Only three holes remaining, don't eff it up now! In other news, Ji Hee Lee, who must be taking 100 vitamins per day, is embarrassing the youngsters (again) ... just one shot off the lead at -8 with four holes remaining.

There were several YT streams showing live early round coverage, but they all seem to have gotten copyright strikes at the same time and were taken down.
It was good while it lasted. No English graphics this week, but I'd recognize the Leader of the Pack any day.

Couldn't keep my eyes open until the end and missed the playoff, but it's on YT now ... and both players drained long birdie putts on #18 to force the playoff.

This is the week for my favorites to miss the cut on both Tours. Momoko Ueda, Mamiko Higa, Erika Kikuchi, Shiho Oyama. Also Chae Young Yoon shooting seventy seven the final round.
