My field rating is 71.5%. By far the strongest field of any of the ten tournaments this year. But that number is way down from last year's 89%. Breaking it down a bit further a come up with a rating of 80% using the LPGA Priority List and 63% using the Rolex Rankings top 100. That averages out to my 71.5%. Jin Young Ko's absence is the biggest reason for the decline as she alone lowered my rating by 3.5%.

I was looking at the final Fed-Ex Cup winner, where Dustin Johnson started with minus ten. So how he performed during the Tour Season meant something.
Not like the LPGA CME Globe which was changed. I guess they changed it because of the Golfers that was winning it. I don't understand why they keep calling it the Race to the CME Globe. It should be the Race to the top sixty and hope I get lucky and win it.

Golf week is stirring up the lunatics over this Popov stuff. Rules don’t seem to apply in the same way for certain players.

There was a note on GolfWrx that GC dumped Ol' Randall a couple of weeks ago, so Beth Ann has the whole LPGA ball of wax in the GIC. She posted another jewel today about Lexi T. rolling out her new brand tomorrow called LEXI ... expect to see LEXI on her cap and other appropriate products ... marked cards ... loaded dice ... corked bats ...

She’s just not objective.

Golf week is stirring up the lunatics over this Popov stuff. Rules don’t seem to apply in the same way for certain players. It's bald-faced how these commentators cared about this "injustice" only once this rule applied to ANY non-Asian; I mean, who really gave a tinker's damn about Popeye before this all happened? And she isn't American, either; so much for that usual excuse. Wonder what else it could be? The latest gem I've heard is that Popov deserves a five year exemption and other rule breaks because she had a Symetra Tour membership before this. It's almost like being on the LPGA! Sorry, folks, she earned a place in the Marathon field because of that (and the convenient absence of the Koreans). I can't see why she deserves additional advantages. Meanwhile, In Gee in 2015, for instance, was 19th in the world BEFORE she won the US Women's Open. Why wouldn't a great player who won the most important event in their game (against a field with all the best players in attendance) deserve preferential treatment over a player who wasn't even in the top 300? (I'm not saying she did, I'm saying the argument is easily as compelling as the Symetra one). On twitter (that golden source of sterling debate), I've seen more than one person say 'suspend the rules' because it would be the popular thing to do. IE, if it "helps" the tour's popularity, who cares if it's fair? Yeesh.

I'm not the biggest Namdalla fan, but I'm so glad to see her back! I suspect she's going to be uber rusty, but this should still be a course that will play right into her hands.
I'm just hoping that at least one more of Lee6-Ryu-JYK make it to the KPMG...

I guess the Morning Drive people are back in the studio! Here they discuss Inbee's chances. The magical words are 'rough is heavy'. That, coupled with the fairways running fast, really does give Inbee a chance at this one.

If there's more of a premium on hitting the fairway and less on bombing it, then keep an eye on Mi Hyang Lee (who contended last year), Inky (who also played really well last year, and would love to get this title to make up for 2012) and In Gee. Hopefully at least a couple of those stars will shine this week!

Hopefully at least a couple of those stars will shine this week! Well they are going to give the bombers a back stop on the eighteenth hole. I bet at least two of the other par fives will be reachable with a hybrid or iron. I just don't see how they can justify having a backstop in a Major. The ANA want to be thought of as the LPGA second best Major, then act like one.

Shibuno Fever! Did Pernilla Lindberg win last year's ANA? Reading all the IGC hype, you'd have to think so. JYK out of sight, out of mind apparently. This 25 minute interview is longer than any other ANA presser.

Me? I don't know. Let's make it two Kos in a row.
