The Leader of The Pack stopped the bleeding with five straight pars, currently Even overall thru six. Realistically, she needs to pick up at least two strokes the rest of the way to have any chance of playing on Sunday.

My link for TV Tokyo was the wrong version of TV Tokyo, so forget about watching the regular broadcast, unless someone posts it on YT later.
Now for the big news: THE SUPERSTAR MADE IT! I assumed the worst after she bogeyed again at #9, but she birdied 10, 11 and 13 to be one of fifty-six players to make the cut at -2 or better. I'll be curious to see how much money she makes this week compared to the chump change she earned on Korea's minor minor league tour this year. As a bonus, you can see her opening tee shot at the 3-minute mark here:
RANK PLAYER SCORE TODAY 1R 2R 3R TOTAL 1 Sakura Koiwai -11 -7 68 65 133 2 Mamiko Higa -9 -7 70 65 135 3 Minami Hiruta -7 -3 68 69 137 4T Ayaka Watanabe -6 -4 70 68 138 4T Min-Young Lee -6 -3 69 69 138 4T Kokone Yoshimoto -6 -3 69 69 138 4T Mika Miyazato -6 -3 69 69 138 4T Eri Okayama -6 -2 68 70 138 4T Momo Yoshikawa -6 -2 68 70 138 4T Miyuu Yamashita -6 -1 67 71 138 4T Rumi Yoshiba -6 +1 65 73 138
Teresa Lu (-3) ... she hit a small basket at the range after her round and was just striping her driver, one after another, you could see the ball flight up against the forest in the background. I don't why she stunk up her first three events, but she looks really good now.
Sakura Koiwai
Mamiko Higa
Reika Usui (-4) ... not the greatest swing on the range, but she knows how to post a score ... no MCs in four starts.
Megumi Shimokawa (-4) ... CLUNK?! Somebody really wanted to use that word for its fashion brand? After some research, I discovered that it originated in the Horndog Republic:
Chae Young Yoon (-3)
A telling pic of Yuka Saso on Friday ... she made the cut at -2, but by her own words the course had her beaten mentally before she teed up her first shot.

Maybe the on-the-range show will finally focus on Solar today, instead of her fans having to play Where's Waldo trying to spot her in the background of the featured players. The way the range camera lingered on Ting Ting yesterday was almost NSFW.

The Superstar finally got some pre-game TV time. Not exactly "featured," but directly next to who I think is Yuka Yasuda on the range. Solar's wearing her final-round all-black outfit with the Tiger-red collar, so we know she means business.

The final round stream at the range started at 7:10 AM (local time) and sure enough, Ting Ting was the first player they focused on. The locals want to adopt her because she was born in Japan, but she plays under the China flag (she certainly "appears" to be ethnic Chinese). She's known as Yuting Seki in Japan and Yuting Shi everywhere else. I don't know the details behind this and I'm too lazy to look it up.
The first interview they did was with fashion plate Reika Usui ... just like yesterday, they had her step back from the camera briefly so everyone see her outfit.
The Superstar is scheduled to tee off 8:35 AM local time ... they won't focus on her, but I think she is on the range now in an all-black outfit with big cartoon graphics on her back. I'll keep watching, just in case the cameramen get tired of the Usual Suspects. Just had another glimpse of the range, yeah, I'm sure that's her, third from the far right station if you were looking downrange.

They had rapid fire post-round interviews ... they did all the Koreans, EXCEPT The Leader of The Pack. She slipped a little today (73) and finished T-51 at -1. She was grouped with three-time winner Maiko Wakabayashi (-2).
*********
During her interview, Pei-Ying Tsai (-7) held up a Bridgestone ball ... she aced #15.
*********
They just posted the money figures. The Superstar picked up ¥234,000 (about $2,203 USD). In contrast, she picked up ten checks on the Korean scrub tour totaling 30,337,000 KRW (about $25,544 USD). Golf 5 pays peanuts, but next week's major has a purse more than three times bigger. This video shows her on the range (all black w/ pink collar) at 14:52 thru 17:26 -

Here's the last 50 minutes of the broadcast. I don't have time to watch it this AM, but Tsai's ace at 2:31 -
RANK PLAYER SCORE 1R 2R 3R TOTAL PRIZE 1 Sakura Koiwai -17 68 65 66 199 ¥10,800,000 2T Ayaka Furue -11 71 68 66 205 ¥4,740,000 2T Ayaka Watanabe -11 70 68 67 205 ¥4,740,000 4T Min-Young Lee -10 69 69 68 206 ¥3,300,000 4T Mamiko Higa -10 70 65 71 206 ¥3,300,000 6T Nozomi Uetake -9 69 70 68 207 ¥2,100,000 6T Erika Hara -9 73 66 68 207 ¥2,100,000 6T Eri Okayama -9 68 70 69 207 ¥2,100,000 9T Mika Miyazato -8 69 69 70 208 ¥1,350,000 9T Minami Hiruta -8 68 69 71 208 ¥1,350,000 11T Pei-Ying Tsai -7 68 72 69 209 ¥996,000 11T Yuting Seki -7 69 71 69 209 ¥996,000 11T Saiki Fujita -7 70 70 69 209 ¥996,000 11T Shina Kanazawa -7 72 69 68 209 ¥996,000 11T Hikari Kawamitsu -7 72 68 69 209 ¥996,000
Koiwai is a helluva player (2nd win). In consecutive weeks, she was the only one under par in double digits on two different types of courses and in completely different weather conditions.
Everybody to Koiwai's house for dinner.
The little kid is a golf prodigy who I remember having a chipping/putting contest with Shin Ae Ahn on TV last year. The broadcast channel put her on the air during the second round as a commentator, a move that was blasted by many YouTube comment posters. The low am was Yuna Kawabata (-3).
Mamiko Higa (white shorts) in last group ... I think she is the biggest underachiever on this tour.
Mika Miyazato
Mi Jeong Jeon (-4)

Finally the JLPGA has an English Website. On the top right of the front page there is a Language tab and you can chose, they need to add Korean now as they have dominated this tour in the last decade. www.lpga.or.jp/en

That new English website works great on mobile too. I've already saved my favorite player so I can keep track at a glance on future tournaments.

My Translator call Solar Lee, Isorra. That's not even close. Another thought, I remember Mamiko Higa was in the first UL Tournament. I believe she lost a close match one down. Then she kind of faded for a year or two. I expected her to be a Star.
