It took ¥200,000,000 to snap a few Koreans out of their trance, including Min Young Lee, Hee Kyeong Bae, Eight Head and The Superstar. This one runs Aug. 27-30 with a field of 120. The cut is top-60 plus ties.
As of now, there is no TV for the first two rounds. Saturday and Sunday will have free LIVE broadcasts via The Internet, but I don't know where yet. Try this YouTube search:

Can't find any pics of The Superstar during the early going of Round One ... not surprising as she opened with two pars, followed by three straight bogeys. UPDATE: Bounced back with birdie at #6, woo hoo!
Despite the Yamaha cap, Kana Nagai hits a Titleist UT ... struggling at +3 thru eight holes ... per Google mush of a recent article, Kana's bag:

Solar Lee is back on the JLPGA Tour, +4 thru nine holes. This makes no sense. Even after skipping two events and missing a cut, she's still in the Top 10 Dream Tour Official Money. She's a shoo-in for a KLPGA card if she just sticks with it. She only has limited status on the JPLGA...and she'll have no status if she keeps playing like today. There must be something she isn't telling her 3 fans.

Good first rounds -1 for Kotone Hori and Legend Yuri Fudoh. Natsuka Hori +3 isn't too bad for her first Tournament.
I followed Yuri Fudoh at the ANA, it was the Kraft Nabisco then, I believe. Enjoyed watching her play so great with that long swing. Her swing is a lot shorter now. I believe she finished in the top twenty that year.

Even with Google mush, the article above is not entirely clear on the status of the Koreans on the JLPGA. It seems that Chae Young Yoon, Mi Jeong Jeon, HK Bae and MY Lee had "established residences" in Japan and returned to that country by August 5, so they're allowed to play this week (obviously, they shouldn't go back to ROK for any reason!). Big Mama Ahn screwed something up and can't play this week, but maybe in the future? SW Bae, Sky, Sharon, JY Shin and BML seem to be really screwed up ... who knows when they'll return. At least Shin will play the ANA.

I didn't see Jyai Shin name on the LPGA, ANA entry list. However they have only 88 names listed. They normally have between 115 and 120 players. So that may just be a preliminary listing.
Or a no cut Tournament this year, they don't give much information. It's two weeks away and a Major.

Maybe last week's list was preliminary because Shin's name was definitely on it. I can't blame her if she changed her mind ... she doesn't need to multiply her travel problems by playing ANA.
I count 112 names in last year's field. BTW, not adding Popov to the 2020 field is unbelievably petty and bush league.

They're off and running ... Ayaka Matsumori and Hana Wakimoto
Saki Nagamine and Reika Usui

Kotone Hori just didn't get it done, plus six today. Another missed cut, hang in there.
However Legend Yuri Fudoh, even par today minus one Tournament.
