Stacy was born in the wrong country. Nobody takes the indifference towards American women's golf harder than her. Everyone else seems content with the scraps they are thrown by the establishment. I believe she would have accomplished more in a world where she was greeted by the media at the airport.
The announcers cannot really avoid Jennifer Song's winless record, not when the golfer on the screen so obviously wants to crawl into a hole. By the looks of things Jennifer simply does not want to win, does not want the attention winning would bring. Imagine her terror during the playoff at the Inspiration.

"In Chun" on the TV leaderboard. JFC. This is what Korean women get in the west for all their success--microaggressions. In this case it might just be the usual incompetence slash indifference--there are seven players within one shot of the leader with a few holes to go and they flash the leaderboard once every ten minutes. Be nice if they showed her now and again, whatever they call her. I think it took like two hours of her being on the leaderboard before we saw a shot. Then it was this one. It was worth the wait, but I mean... she's a 2x Major winner, she deserves better!

In Gee was fabulous today. Wow! I turned on the coverage to see her five back and figured, no chance to win, but maybe a top ten? But she was great, no joke. She struggled a bit in the middle of her round, but came back with the fantastic tee shot to a few inches on 14. By the time she got to 16, she was just two back. The rest of the leaders were having a contest to see who could screw up the worst. In Gee reached the fringe of the par 5 16th in 2, but was not able to get up and down. Then she hit a nice tee shot on 17, hit a nearly perfect putt, and it stopped one roll from going in. Had she birdied those two holes, she would have been in the playoff. As it was, it was still her first round in the 60s since the LPGA started up; she outplayed a lot of the top golfers and tied Kang today. Her first top ten all year. Best of all: driving average today 266, for the week 255! That's more like it. Congrats to her!! Go get 'em at Troon!

Congrats to her!! Go get 'em at Troon! Wouldn't it be exciting if In Gee beats out Lydia Ko, Ariya Jitanugarn, So Yeon Ryu, Sung Hyun Park, Jin Young Ko, Anna Nordqvist, Jiyai Shin, Stacy Lewis, Brittany Lincicome and Cristie Kerr to become the first to win her third major next week!

Good Tournament by In Gee but she still has a ways to go. Don't go into Fantasy Golf.

Of course not. But could she have a good week and maybe even win? I like her odds more now that I saw a solid week from her here. Remember that her last win came amidst a long string of mediocre weeks, where all of a sudden she stepped it up and played brilliantly at the Intl Crown, then in Korea. Ride the positive vibes, In Gee!!!

If there's a magic wand that turns a good player into a mediocre player; there should be one that turns that mediocre player back into a good player. All In Gee needs is that magic wand for a week; and she's there.

Not being negative, just being real. I like In Gee as much as anyone else, maybe more. Also would love to see start contending.
