Team Shibuno departed Haneda Airport on Fri. Aug. 7 for the UK. This is a two-month excursion ... will play the next three majors, plus the U.S. events in-between if she can get sponsor exemptions for them (which should not be hard to get).

Nice to have Smiling Cinderella to kick around for a while! This is also the return of Mi Hyang Lee from her LPGA hiatus.

The Enchanted Malaysian Princess gets a write-up in the hometown press. www.thestar.com.my/sport/golf/2020/08/11/royal-troon-here-i-come“When the season resumed last week, I made it a goal to be a more consistent player week-in, week-out besides getting better and stronger each day,” said Kelly, who left for Scotland yesterday.
“This week (at the Marathon Classic) was special as I was able to accomplish both. I was under-par for all four rounds and that was very encouraging.
“Obviously I wanted to play in both Scottish and the Women’s British Open and knew I needed a great week to do that.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CDpgZ0qFWai Alyaa Abdulghany another golfer from Malesia that had a great US Amateur Tournament. Even though she lost 2&1 in the Simi-Finals to the eventual winner. She had a great run, winning 4&2 twice and the Quarter Final 2&1, She may be joining the LPGA in the future.

******
Practice pix ... looks like the Yangster dropped a ton of weight, unnecessarily, I think.

My field rating for this tournament is 46%...up from 43% last year. Danielle Kang got 28 Rolex Ranking points from Drive On; 31 from Marathon. This week's winner will get about 35 points. If Danielle wins again, she'll earn in 3 tournaments less than the winner of AIG Women's Open, 100 points.

I like the pairing of Maria Hernandez, Youngin Chun and Madelene Sagstrom.
Hanako Shibuno turned down the chance to join the LPGA. Yui Kawamoto joined and got a much better pairing. (Kidding)
Why has Anna Nordqvist been called a cold fish. I don't understand the reason.
Edit: Anna showed a lot of class when she was penalized at the US Women Open. When a guy with a High Definition Camera took a picture. That showed she had barely touched the sand, that resulted in a penalty. She didn't whine about it or pretended to cry. She accepted the penalty and said there would be other opportunities.

My field rating for this tournament is 46%...up from 43% last year. It must have been a really bad field last year. Because this field is very weak.
