I'm 99% certain that looper was NOT with Kelly at Valley Forge in 2018. She had a slimmer, younger guy with a beard at Raven's Claw GC where she stunk it up.
She may not have used him for every event, but this post shows he's been on her bag since at least 2015. If that's the case, it shows amazing loyalty on both sides, and he well deserves to finally start sharing in the new Top 10 cash that Kelly's generating. https://www.instagram.com/p/8pqNacxVlb

After watching the the last 5 holes of this event, I am speechless. I have to wonder what long term effect this will have on her career. I hate the word choke...but I am not sure how else to describe this. Lydia looked lost down the stretch. It looked like she could not make a single decision on her own. After watching 3 hours of the U.S women's amateur championship, and seeing Zhang and Ruffles reading their own putts and making their own decisions without any help, it made this look even worse.

IMO the LPGA is on the verge of some real trouble. Even if the leaderboards were to become a little more er, home-crowd friendly, I'd still worry about 'em. LPGA product feels extra marginal and irrelevant now. Maybe I'm being premature and once the big events start all will be well again.

The TV rating for both US Women's Amateur and Marathon Classic have both broken all time records.

I could barely find any news/results for the Marathon on golfchannel.com. If the outlook is as rosy as you are suggesting, then I am glad.

If the outlook is as rosy as you are suggesting, then I am glad. There is a somewhat of a void w/ too big to fail lexi no longer carrying the banner for american women's golf. Same w/ Creamer, Pressel, Wie and the rest of the 2013 Solheim team the media has been foisting upon us. It's all about Fassi now. Somehow wearing aviators is like having the title belt in pro wrestling.
