In Gee's week is done. She finally broke par, although it was only a 70. OK stats, but the one that leaps out is 267 yards driving average, around 252 for the week. The parts are all there for her, she needs to connect the dots.
Meanwhile, not a single Korean is in the top 30 as of right now. Ouch! Of course, there are three non-Korean Sisters atop the leaderboard, so that mitigates the sadness somewhat.
What a complete fold by Lydia Ko. She played number eighteen from left of the green like a twenty handicapper. First why didn't she lay up with a one shot lead and thrust her wedge. The chance of staying on the green with a wood was zero to none. Still why play a bump and run on her third shot. When a lofted wedge to the middle of the green was a much better option. This lost had to hurt.
Danielle Kang should thank her for the Christmas present in August.
Wow, what a complete chokeroo by Lydia. I like Danielle plenty, but if she gets to #1 because of this current limited field situation I will not be pleased. I think Jin Young still has some padding, though.
