It's kind of amazing that this event has already started and no one added a thread for it. Anyways, here it is. Good luck, Sisters!
Danielle Kang really wants that #1 ranking. She shot an early 64 and is currently in the lead!

Wow, is anyone watching this? I'm surprised that there are no comments at all! That might be a first for an LPGA event around here.
In Gee had a mediocre first round, even par. She's at least hitting FWs and greens, but still missed a lot of putts. Better than her start last week, so that's a plus.
Jenny Shin is the one Korean who had a good first round: five under 66. Lydia and Danielle, however, were tied for the first round lead.
Sisters hwaiting!

I gave it a look see, but I was more interested in the US Women Amateur. Because my favorites Chun, In Gee Chun and Youngin Chun will probably miss the cut. That leaves only a few that I am interested in, Yui Kawamoto among others.

They probably won't ... the cut line should solidify at +1, which is where Chun & Chun are at.
Robynn Ree in Round One ... GC just showed her missing a birdie putt from downtown on #9, her last hole ... she's dead at +2.

Yes the Chun and Chun made the cut. Thanks to the last two plus one players that could maybe changed things made bogey. One was long driving Anne Van Dame who made bogey on the par five. However Yui Kawamoto lost her way by shooting plus six, to finish plus three.

As weak as the field may be without most of the Asian and British players missing, my field rating is 43%...up from 34% last year.
I guess that shows just how poor the field was last year.

In Gee and Youngin made the cut on the nose; second week in a row for Dumbo. She's now played five rounds this past two weeks but still hasn't produced a good one. Here's hoping she can put together something special to get back on track!

Lydia looks to be in better golfing shape. More muscle. Having Ko rolling again would be an interesting development.

I'll pipe up to say it is nice to have the LPGA season start up again and to be able to watch the first and second rounds live since I have been working from home since March.
There is something lacking not having the Koreans out in force, of course. Who can blame them not wanting to come into this disease-ridden country?
Lydia is starting to show some of those world-beating qualities again. Let's see if she can continue her dominating play.

Youngin Chun had a nice round today, minus four. She had six birdies, which make that twelve for three rounds. She said she like making birdies, but she also has made nine bogeys. So she needs to start liking pars by avoiding making so many bogeys.
In Gee Chun not so good with even par day to stay at plus one.

In Gee still hasn't broken par in six rounds this year. This course is not the hardest they will ever play, so I hope she can do it tomorrow.
It's frustrating to see her play such lackluster golf, but I'm going to keep cheering her on. Hwaiting!

It looks like Lydia Ko has changed two things. I think she has one of her former Caddies.
Also she has changed her swing. Instead of abruptly swinging inside across the line. She is swinging more down the line with a lower ball flight.
What ever she is doing it is working so far.

I'd forgotten what a good interview Lydia is. Unpretentious, honest and funny. Nice to see her back with Jason, with whom she had her greatest success. Lydia for the win.
Tomorrow's final pairing...
