That Lee6 albatross (oops) was spectacular - and her reaction even better. But how about this hole for 현주 - haha, I thought putting was her problem... Park Hyun Kyung looked really good this morning - but 6 and Sei-young lurking...

Busan Open1R Highlights
The great thing about Jeong Eun Lee6 shot was she hit an iron. I wonder what iron she hit. Almost every one else hit hybrids.

Great first round for Hee Jeong Lim, eight birdies no bogeys. I guess sleeping on the bench woke her up, to play like she is capable of. Hope that putter doesn't go to sleep again.
Sleeping on the bench didn't help Mighty Mite Seung Yeon Lee. However she had only one birdie, but no bogeys for minus one.
Hae Rym Kim game is getting back to how she was before. She has played a lot better lately.
Hee Won Jung even showed up near the top of the Leader Board.

DING! DING! DING! We have a winner in the Great Minds Think Alike contest.
Six hits a 4-iron purer than any other woman pro, IMHO. Not many women pros carry a standard 4-iron these days, but that's what Six hit, per her interview later. I'm guessing that's the club I saw her hit last year at the Seaview when she teed off at the straightaway 301-yard par-4 5th hole during Round One. In her interview, she said her yardage was 171 meters (aka 187 yards). The shotlink albatross distance was 208.8 yards. Most of the shot was a carry over water.

Who's idea was it to use the original Round One groupings for Sunday? Hee Jeong Lim has to sit in the clubhouse for at least four hours before they hand her the trophy. The second half of this broadcast is a bunch of golfers going nowhere, including The Total Package who three-putted from less than 32" at #4. Three players have a chance if they shoot 66 or 65, including Hong Kong Park (that might be her new name if she plays the WBO in August), but the odds are pretty poor, especially with umbrellas sprouting open again. Uh oh, Hong Kong just rolled in a 21-footer for birdie at #9 and is two shots back at -11. Forget about Hae Rym Kim who butchered her first six holes.

They finish monday, not today

I guess the earlier Google mush was misleading ... the first round really wasn't cancelled, it was postponed, so it's still a three-rounder with a definite Monday finish ... with more rain in the forecast for Monday. SBS Golf had a graphic about live coverage for Round Three beginning at 11 AM local time. Korea's big tour is off the next two weeks.

Round 2 Replay of the KLPGA Championship? Again, Hee Jeong Lim and Hyun Kyung Park are dueling it out with quite possibly one of them looking at the win. They are planning on playing round 3 tomorrow (Monday), but there is rain in the forecast, so it's not clear if they will get all of it finished. Stay tuned, we might end up with a two-rounder yet! Some round 2 thoughts
- Among the regular KLPGAers, Lim and HK Park have been the MVPs so far. Among the guest players, Sei Young Kim and Hyo Joo. - Hyun Ju Yoo shoots a fair number of par or better rounds, but if she wants to make cuts, she needs to stop shooting really bad rounds also. Seems like her focus really wanders too often. - So Hyeon Ahn is starting to get a little more consistent, which bodes well for her chances to keep her card. - Ayean Cho has not really capitalized on the fantastic start she had to her year in Australia. I wonder if the covid scheduling issues affected her worse than some others. She's young, she has time to figure it out. - Hye Jin Choi is also not really all there yet. Just one unofficial win so far this season. - Every time it looks like Lee6 is going to break out and have a fantastic event, she takes another step back. After the massive break of the albatross yesterday, it's unbelievable that she missed the cut. But she is a huge talent, she'll find a way at some point.
Sisters hwaiting!

There are no second round High Lights posted yet.
I wasn't sure if there would be a third round. Until they showed the projected cut line at the top of the screen.
Another really good round for Hee Jeong Lim. She did miss some makeable putts on her back nine. She can't afford to miss short birdie putts the final round. Because Hyun Kyung Park can make putts from everywhere. Min Ji Park can also get on a run, so you can't count her out.
Seung Yeon Lee missed another cut, made two bogeys last four holes. Not giving up on her, she has enough talent to right the ship.
Short hitting Seung Hyun Lee did make the cut. Maybe she can have a good final round.

The KLPGA has taken down the 3R from the Leader Board. The Tournament site total score has 3R cancelled listed. Not sure what that means. The SBS stream has the Broadcast scheduled for 12:00 Korean time.
