If I remember correctly, when the LPGA started before the KLPGA and LPGA Japan. Rolex Ranking were not frozen, and some of the KLPGA and JLPGA Rankings changed. However this is a different situation.

If I remember correctly, when the LPGA started before the KLPGA and LPGA Japan. Rolex Ranking were not frozen, and some of the KLPGA and JLPGA Rankings changed. However this is a different situation. Rolex Ranking is based on a rolling two years time period; the relative LPGA, JLPGA and KLPGA schedules have all been the same during every two years period in the past. This's a new situation that hasn't happened before.

I hope Jim Nance and "Sir Nick" Faldo are brushing up on their Korean pronunciation. Nance always sounds like he's falling asleep at the Masters...I can only imagine how he'll get through play-by-play from his bedroom at 3am.
Jim Nance passed on many years ago.

This article is a good find, but with the SBS Golf broadcast about 26 hours away, I could not find one online article in the GIC (includes 'Ol Randall, Beth Ann, Golf Digest, Global Golf Post, CBS Sports and Shack) that confirms a broadcast by CBS. I guess they'll spring it on us at the last minute.

Also, does anyone know if the Rolex Rankings will be unfrozen this week? Or will this be a "forgotten" event in terms of world rankings? I haven't seen any new Rolex announcements; but they can't disregard this and any upcoming KLPGA events. What makes sense is to unfreeze players who play this week; but leaving all others unchanged. It makes no sense to unfreeze some players in the Rolex Rankings and keep the freeze in place for others. If SHP is unfrozen, wins this event and then moves back to the US to play with her dog for two months, does that mean she gets frozen again until the LPGA start in mid-July? Or does she remain unfrozen without playing again for another 2+ months? Will a bad-scoring event from last year be counted against her while an equally poor performing frozen competitor in the same event gets a pass? Doesn't seem fair. Everyone should be frozen or unfrozen at the same time. Everyone should have the same past events count for/against them. I remember the first time Ms. Pouty Face reached #1. The tour took the next week off and when she woke up that Monday morning she was #2 again. To say she was royally pi$$ed was an understatement, as she ranted to every reporter in sight. But those are the breaks in a rolling average that applies to everyone. The real unfairness would be if some players remain frozen and others aren't. Depending on whether it hurts or helps, you'll hear some real complaining about that...and they'll have a point. Disclaimer: I'm way over my head here.

This appears to be Getty Images' first KLPGA event that was not co-sponsored by another tour.

It doesn't make sense to unfreeze the rankings for only some players. I suspect they will not unfreeze until the LPGA starts again; we might then see the results of these KLPGA events applied to the player who played them.

jumpcut You're brilliant! “The Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings (WWGR) remain paused indefinitely,” the LPGA said in a statement. “Results of tournaments held prior to the reopening of the rankings will be saved as the WWGR continues to monitor the resumption of other member tours. Further information will be shared when appropriate.” Rolex Ranking

Here's the CBC site page where its LIVE broadcast starts Thu. at 2 AM EST. -
What good is it for starting so late? Looks like the Asians in Van City get a break by watching it at 11 PM local time on Wednesday. I'll still check it out later (assuming it's not geo-blocked) to see how it compare to the renegade stream starting at 8 PM EST on Wed.

I didn't notice it before when checking the pairings. Seung Hyun Lee and Da Na Kim is also in the last Group with Soo Bin Kim. I hope Seung Hyun Lee has been able to increase her driving distance. Dead last in driving 2019 contributed to probably her worst year on the KLPGA Tour.
