Round 2 Really good day for a number of the Sisters! As I mentioned before, Lee6 had a great day but wound up falling out of the top ten on the final hole. As of now she's t-11th, 5 back. At the top for the Sisters are Ayean Cho and Robyn Choi at 10 under. Choi's 65 earned her a spot in the final group, but for my money the interesting group is the penultimate one, with two time Vic winner Minjee Lee and KLPGA starlet Ayean Cho playing together. Cho and Hye Jin Choi at 8 under have a decent chance to grab an LPGA win, especially if the conditions toughen like they claim they will. On top of that, you have Hee Young trying to make an early statement and Haeji Kang still in the hunt at 9 under. Rookie-wise, nice career start for Jiwon Jeon at 7 under after two rounds, three ahead of fellow rookie Yealimi Noh, Hee Jeong Lim and So Yeon Ryu. Inbee's at 3 under. Warning: there is ALSO a third round cut, and right now it's at 5 under, so Inbee and company have some work to do Saturday. Sisters hwaiting!!

The broadcast assumes we want to hear player-caddie discussions or post round interviews. We really want to hear what SYR was saying to 6 as they stretched. Mic the players at dinner not during the round.

A little better day score wise for So Yeon. Hopefully she can improve on it today.
My Rookie of The Year pick Yui Kawamoto stumbled a little . Bad front nine, three straight birdies on the back nine. But needed at least one more to make the cut.
Not to worry just a blip on her way to winning the Title.

Round 3 Brutal conditions made for some entertaining golf! How on Earth did So Yeon shoot a 68? However she did it, she finished early, then watched as she climbed all the way to 5th, just four back. She should be in the penultimate group tomorrow. A win here would be incredible. At the top was Ayean Cho, who somehow shot a 2 under 70 in the worst hurricane-like conditions. She had a great start, grabbing a share of the lead, then had a little struggle in the middle of her round. But following two clutch par saves, she finished strong. On the final hole she literally had to hold onto her hat while she made an eight footer for birdie. One shot lead, and a great chance to grab a shocking win. Keeping my fingers crossed for her on Sunday. GO AYEAN!!! Playing with So Yeon tomorrow should be another fave, Hee Young Park. Solid even par 72 today, just three back of the leaders. On the down side, KLPGA POY Hye Jin Choi struggled to a 75, but at 5 under is still close enough that a great round tomorrow might let her steal it. Six really struggled; no birdies, a double and five bogies for a 79, probably the worst round of her short LPGA career. That will probably make her miss the second cut. Youch, from contender to out in one round. Inbee is also out. Jiwon Jeon got a splash of reality, shooting an 86 to fall to dead last. Minjee at 7 under has an outside chance, but her bro has a 3 shot lead and definite bragging rights in the Lee household. Go Ayean, So Yeon and HYP!!!! Sisters HWAITING!!!

Ugh, KT is paired with Christina Kim in the final round. Bring your rule book with you, Kelly, and don't say a word to her caddie...she'll be watching you like a hawk! She hasn't forgotten that you're one spot ahead of her on the priority list. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8TXSa9F2z6

jumpcutI gave up last night after Kelly's and Yealimi's rounds. I knew winds were picking up but had no idea the calamity it's going to wreck. "It's better to be lucky than good;" not too much to argue about.

The clowns chasing Min Woo Lee need to be really lucky because they know they're totally outclassed.
MW round three highlight reel below ... he's better off not hitting driver this week ... I don't think this course can hold it and the wind has become ridiculous. But, his scrambling was superb and his play at the par-5 18th (487m/533y) was just SICK ... a two-iron that took off like it hit an airport tarmac, followed by a nine-iron into a stiff left-to-right crosswind with the flag on the far right - and the ball landed RIGHT of the flag about ten feet away, where he rolls in the eagle putt. Too bad Minjee stumbled on Saturday - I don't think we'll have a power couple victory on Sunday.

Retro-cuffs for Ryu, similar to Ayako Uehara

Great finish by So Yeon two birdies and an Eagle last five holes. Hoping that she has a strong finish today.
Rough day at the office for Jeongeun Lee6. I did not see that coming. She had rounds where she struggled early. But she usually would find a way to regroup.
Wasn't planning to watch the Broadcast. But with A Yeon Cho and Min Woo Lee in contention. I decided to watch it and wasn't disappointed. Good luck to both today.

Yui went into the red to pay off Mr. Shimuzu this week.
Meanwhile, Suzuka made it Sunday ... the smallest check paid last year for playing four rounds was $5,104. She made over $11K for a T-22 last year ... about half her earnings for all of 2019!
The Yonex EZONE FS driver came out last September

Did you catch Ayean goofing around with her white caddie after her round? (is he a local, or a Dean Herden type getting a claim in as her caddie early, knowing where she is heading in her career?) High fives, big laughs. She seems like such a joyous gal. Hoping she can keep it up for one more round!

I wasn't much of a fan of A Yean Cho in the beginning. But after watching her a few times, I really like her. Like when So Yeon started she plays focused and enjoy doing it as well.

Intriguing match-up between the newest flavor to come out of Korea and the hot-playing Swede Sagstrom. I have to give the nod to Ayean.
So Yeon Ryu went from 61st to 38th to 5th. Maybe she can sneak a victory here?

She hasn't forgotten that you're one spot ahead of her on the priority list. Come on, Kim did nothing wrong - players should know the rules. Also, it's great to see that she's lost a lot of weight and seems dedicated to playing well again. LPGA needs personalities like her. When will another active player write a book like hers?

Probably need to add Ayeon to the Rookie of the Year nesting doll set someday.
