What is the criteria used for selecting Korean women golfers in the Olympics? I assume that it is World Rankings but I have no idea.
Regardless, there are going to be a lot of incredible and deserving golfers left at home.

I think I just found the answer to my question in the LPGA article on Inbee Park and the Olympics:
"Olympic qualifications cut off after the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at the end of June. Were they to close today, the four Korean players headed to Japan would be Jin Young Ko, the No. 1-ranked player in the Rolex Rankings, Sung Hyun Park, a two-time major champion currently ranked No. 2 in the world, Sei Young Kim, No. 5 in the Rolex Rankings and winner of last year’s CME Group Tour Championship, and Jeongeun Lee6, No. 7 in the world and the reigning U.S. Women’s Open champion. It's just world ranking, period. Korea gets four golfers if there are at least four in the top 15, which there usually are. But even with four, it's competitive. Among great players not qualified are Inbee, Hyo Joo Kim, KLPGA star Hye Jin Choi, Amy Yang and In Gee Chun (both of whom were on the 2016 team) and So Yeon Ryu.
