What an epic year: Highest money total ever for a Korean* (* Lydia Ko had a higher total, but she does not represent South Korea) Money List #1 Lowest scoring average ever for a Korean (and third lowest of all time) Vare Trophy Player of the Year Most Top Tens Annika Major award Most consecutive holes without a bogey in history, male or female Four LPGA wins, two Majors Also grabbed a KLPGA Major #1 in the world by a huge margin 79.6% GIR, #1 by 3% points and the best in history! I knew she was good, but this is truly mind bending stuff. Best ever for a Korean? I'd still lean to Inbee's 2013 with 3 Majors, but even Inbee didn't win all three big awards (missed out on Vare). No Korean has ever done that. Congrats to Jin Young Ko!!! https://www.instagram.com/p/B5Q5egUgS2c

I always thought that she would climb to the top. The only thing that slowed her progress early last year was putting. But I remembered that she putted great on the KLPGA Tour. However even with her putting struggles, she still hit quality approach shots. So I figured it was just a matter of time for her to get use to these greens. But I never imagined that she would have this great a year this soon.

Slight correction: Jin Young's scoring average this year was the second best "official" average in history. Apparently Annika had another sub 69 and one around 69.01 that didn't qualify for Vare because they didn't meet the minimum requirement of 70 rounds. She only once broke 69 in a season with 70+ rounds.
