Nice job, Solar! Round 1 Not the greatest start for the Sisters, but a number of them are close enough to make a move. Jeongeun Lee6 seemed to be playing pretty well, but failing to birdie either of the final par 5s prevented her from finishing in a top position. Still, at 2 under she's just three back, and if she has her usual second round surge, she could make a serious move tomorrow. Hyo Joo did nicely, as did Jenny Shin, but for me the most intriguing name on the leaderboard is Seon Woo Bae at 3 under. It's too early to get excited yet, but I gotta tell you I would LOVE to see her on the LPGA. Would she come over if she won? Well, let's get the win first, then we'll see. On the downside, So Yeon really struggled, and Jiyai Shin, who I thought might pull a Ha Na Jang this week, couldn't get anything to fall with her putter. Nice interview with her, though, and the commentators really showed her the love all day, as they should! Sisters hwaiting!

I was hoping that So Yeon would have a better start. The triple bogey on number ten didn't help any. Unless she has a great finish the last two days. Also at least a second place finish at the CME. It will be her first year on tour not making a million dollars. Not doom and gloom, just an observation. Not a great finish for Jeongeun Lee6. But she is just three off the lead. However there are a lot of golfers ahead of her. I couldn't believe that they didn't show Ariya second shot on seventeen. They just showed her putting for birdie. Mamiko Higa had a decent start and there is no cut. So maybe she wont have to cut her hair again...kidding

The announcer comment that Hinako Shibuno will be thrilled to be playing with Thompson. I doubt if she even know who the par five Queen, Thompson is.

i read somewhere that shibuno is a longtime fan of lexi, and admires her driving ability... lexi had rough round one .... shibuno signs up with japan airlines.. she will need it in 2020 flying to the usa lpga majors.. http://instagr.am/p/B4e5hHClsAx

They should let Minjee start at 3 or 4 under on Friday is she wants to.

Amazing that only 27 of the 78 players are using a Titleist ball. Obviously, the Asians are taking advantage of domestic endorsement opportunities.
Looks like Ai Suzuki is trying to be the next pro to reject LPGA membership ... opened with three birdies, now leading at -8.
Shibuno is in her element ... now -5. Meanwhile, NASA went off the rails at +6 thru 12 holes (+5 overall).
Greeny retreated to -4 ... Teresa Lu (-2) is a long shot, but she still has a chance to thumb her nose at renewing (again) her LPGA membership
Ah Reum Hwang has the low round in progress at -5 thru 12 holes ... she would reject LPGA membership, too.

In all seriousness, Suzuki would be a perfect candidate to get LPGA membership immediately if she wins ... she is the right age (25) with a lot of experience ... and Japan's Olympic team becomes a whole new ballgame.

Clickbait! So Yeon compares her fans in Korea and Japan, and talks about wearing knee-highs.

If Suzuki wins and joins the LPGA, Shibuno will have to do a 180 on her decision and become a member too...if she still wants to be an Olympian. Solar is still snubbed on Korean Golf News. Now that she's notched a win, I'm expecting the requisite flood of Japanese magazine covers. Enough with Shibuno Fever already.

Pretty good round by So Yeon Ryu, three birdies but no bogeys.
Jeongeun Lee6 round not so good because of thirty six putts. Not having made a birdie on par fives in two days hasn't helped. She will putt better next year after taking notes this year. She wasn't up for any more awards anyway. Except maybe winning the CME.
Carlotta can start celebrating, unless she already has. Ariya needs to make a two on par five seventeen to win AON.

Round 2
Well, I made it about twenty minutes into this one, then I gave up. There are a few Sisters in the hunt, but all my faves are stalling way back and aren't getting any TV time this week.
Wasn't expecting Ah Reum Hwang to be anywhere near the top. Would be nice for Hyo Joo to get at least one win this season considering how well she has played.
Sisters hwaiting!
