Ha Na always seems to steals the LPGA’s cookie.

Seung Yeon Lee swings the club like a reject or "blem" from the robot factory ... the Sunday SBS Golf broadcast had an instructor guy doing the color ... as they did a slo-mo of her swing from behind, he said "flat" when she was at the top and "chicken wing" when she reached the impact zone. Of course, Spieth got a lot done with a chicken wing.

Trade in my table scraps for crumbs ... MHL finished one shot behind The Pink One.

This is me speaking in the moment without having properly reflected on the whole year, but right now I want to say: best tournament of the year.
I obviously read way too deep into things but this outcome feels significant. The LPGA is no longer the greatest show (of women's professional golf) on earth. And also the best American LPGA player right now... is Korean.

Great back nine by Ha Na Jang to tie Danielle Kang after regulation. Made a great shot into the third playoff hole to make birdie to win. She said that she might want to come back to the LPGA. With that win she punched her ticket to make that choice.
Danielle had a really good tournament as well.
I was hoping before the tournament, for at least a top twenty for Seung Yeon Lee. Also that top ten would be a great tournament for her.
She played the front nine minus two, which got her to minus fifteen. But what also happens to her on the KLPGA tour, six over on hole eleven through sixteen. She showed a lot of heart by making a birdie on seventeen. Which put her in the top ten. She also hit within birdie range on eighteen but missed it.
I really didn't expect Seung Yeon or Somi Lee to win, but a great tournament for both. The KLPGA showed that they also had great players with six golfers in the top ten. So Young Lee just missed her par putt on eighteen, which would have made it seven.
Jin Young Ko didn't have her 'A' game. But still had a top ten because of her golfing skill.
Not a whole lot to say about So Yeon five over today. Except she needs to work on her game, if she wants to make the Olympic Team. Edit: This combination needs improvement first. Driving Average Distance ...95th, with Driving Accuracy of 129th.

I agree, but you wouldn't know that from the butchered Golf Channel broadcast. With 3.5 hours of airtime, they decided to show only 2.5 hours. No initial highlights from Danielle's and Ha Na's great rounds. Serious minor league cr-p.

You gotta start setting your alarm clock EARLY. I got up for the JLPGA at 2:30 AM EST and when it finished I switched over to SBS Golf for the LPGA/KLPGA ... who cares if you don't know what the broadcasters are saying ... and the golf-related commercials are much better!
It's high time I got rid of cable TV ... I don't need the GC to watch the LPGA tour playing in China, ROK, Taiwan or Japan ... next year, I'll check to see if there's a stream when they play in Thailand and Singapore ... plus, I'll see them in person at ShopRite/Acer and KPMG ... and I assume one of my Asian streams will carry the Olympics. Also, a small amount of my money is going into Ol' Randall's pocket. BTW, I'm watching the live conclusion of ZOZO on TV Asahi, although the stream quality is below average in this particular instance.

All right Ha Na! I do hope you come back to the LPGA tour for real. I missed you.
I second the disappointment of seeing the TV broadcast truncated by an hour. I'm too old to stay up late to watch the streaming to the end of the round. I see the PGA is staying in the Far East again next week so I won't be seeing much of the Swinging Skirts either.

They didn't give them an hour to spend following Brooke Henderson. Afraid that they would have to spend another hour of the broadcast on Korean golfers. They decided to do away with it

Karen S saying that she hope that not winning will not affect these golfers mentally. She acts like they shot eighty, when they were two over and three over. Somi Lee tied for fourth and Seung Yeon Lee tied for ninth. It's not like they dropped down to fifteen or sixteen. So I think these young golfers had a great overall tournament.
I remember Jin Young and Ariya lost leads in Majors. They got over it and look how their career has turned out. She isn't that good of a broadcaster. So she can forget about trying to be a psychiatrist.

I heard LPGA commissioner Mike Whan say that the discrepancy in prize money between the PGA and LPGA roughly parallels the difference in television ratings in the United States between the tours. My sense is that the Golf Channel's coverage of the LPGA this year is not helping to close that gap -- uneven coverage, abbreviated telecasts, no on-demand replays....

Round 4 At first this seemed like a really anticlimactic ending to a great week. I stayed unspoiled for an entire day, and within five minutes it became obvious that Kang had deep sixed almost every interesting story line (seeing her win in a second straight week was not remotely interesting to me personally). The broadcast started with the final group on 15 and almost all the fun storylines basically over thanks to Kang's runaway. It also was obvious there would be a playoff, although I was not expecting for them to arbitrarily cut the broadcast short by an hour. They trimmed easily two+ hours of regulation play to show the whole playoff, then they don't even use the entire window after making us wait nearly a whole day. The LPGA should be REALLY pissed about that move; I know I am. And what did they end up showing? An hour of Golf Central wanking over Tiger fricking Woods. Not even actual golf coverage, just blah blah blah. Terrible. Fortunately, Ha Na made a really epic run to inject some life into things, although the best of her run was skipped thanks to the coverage truncation. I like Danielle OK, but I have to admit she looked like she was sucking on lemons virtually the entire day. What is up with that? Normally she shows some spark, some life. Really made me root against her. Other than the playoff, it was nice to see the KLPGA rookies hang in for good finishes, and Amy Yang notch a great third. But let's be honest, my big thrill was seeing In Gee again! You almost never see her on Sunday these days, and she really brought it for a 4th place, her best result of the year. Is this her last event of 2019? She was a sponsor's invite, so did she not earn any official money this week, and thus won't get into the fields in Taiwan, Japan or CME? I hope we get to see her again! Great job for Ha Na. Hwaiting!

I've definitely noticed a change in Danielle's on-course demeanor. However, she still cracks a laugh with Ollie. I think she's simply trying to stay focused. She's rarely been in the lead, or near the top of the leaderboard for much of her career, so I can be sure if this is actually a change, or just the way she stays focused under pressure.
