It is my understanding that Q-Series would be a total of 108 players,
The specific wording at lpga.com is that the Q-Series would be a maximum of 108 players. They don't have to hit 108 ... the 2018 Q-Series had 102 players. As of now, they posted a list of 100 players, including Du and Hong who are underage for the Q-Series! After the intern snaps out of it, I assume they'll add at least two more players and RLB should be first on the list.

They're not replacing the underage players. Idiots. With 72 holes now complete in Stage II of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament, a total of 35 players finished at 5-under par or better, with five more individuals sitting on the 4-under par mark. In total, 38 competitors at 4-under par or better are heading to Q-Series and finalize the field at 98 players.www.lpga.com/news/2019-lpga-qualifying-tournament-final-notes

Nice to see that Yae Eun 'Amy' Hong made it through, although I have no idea what the point of all this is. Sounds like she did it just as a test? Whatever floats your boat I guess! https://www.instagram.com/p/B3vX1J0l0vI

If you're not bringing your 'A' game every day (which might not be good enough, anyway), LPGA Q-School is a cruel tease. Samantha Richdale blew it by one shot yesterday, so it's back to the Galloway pro-am in 2020 for sure ... and at age 35, she's running out of chances.
I was disappointed that Karen Chung dropped out of Stage 2 before it started ... per her IG, it looks like she reinvested the fee into a makeover ... I can't blame her after the year she had. It started okay with four starts and three cuts made on the Symetra tour. Then she gets called up to the big leagues (which is the objective, after all) and makes three of three cuts ... but then she strikes out five straight times in June and July, which is a double-wammy because she's not earning a cent from the Symetra events she missed. She returns to the minors in late August and picks up a couple of top-10s in five starts, but it's too little too late ... she needed to be 35th on the Symetra money list to get into the Q-Series, but finished 40th with only 11 starts (23 total events on that tour).
If she has Symetra status for 2020, maybe she figured Q-school was a waste of money at this time. It's certainly clear that reaching the Symetra top-10 money list gives you a much higher initial status on the LPGA tour compared to getting a top-45 at the Q-Series.

The same double whammy scenario applied to Kelly Tan, who made enough on the Symetra to skip Stage II. But she had a decent shot at being a Top 10 money earner if she didn't take off most of July & August to play on the big tour. Who can blame her...LPGA starts are the whole reason for slumming on the Symetra and she made 4 of her 6 starts. Kelly and Rebecca are regulars at the annual Koream Pro-Am, legitimategolf's favorite event. They should bring Karen with them next year, she'd fit right in.

Not done with golf yet. Impressive attitude. Rebecca and Lucy Li, and may be Yuka Saso; 2020 Symetra Tour is loaded.
