In other news, the 'B' and 'C' flights of Stage 2 Pro Test were completed on Friday. The 'B' winner was Hana Lee at -12. I have no clue who this is, but the KLPGA website has a Hana Lee, age 25, joined the tour June-2017. Since then, she has played one round of one Jump Tour event (shot 80) in 2018 and that's it!!!! If it's the same person, I guess she was conserving her energy for this week. The final Pro Test stage will be Nov. 5-8, followed by two stages of q-school.

sakura yokomine is ranked 119 on rolex and 64 on the lpga moneylist.... she actually has played very well this year on the usa lpga almost $300K in prize earnings ... yokomine changed her clubs to a mixture of various vendors...
Obviously, you read my 2019 ShopRite Round One report...huh, you did not?!
Regarding the rental space, Yonex should jump in there with both feet. She used Yonex irons at the Seaview and has stuck with them. At this stage, Suzuka Yamaguchi is a washout who is not giving Yonex any overseas visibility, so why not buy some diversification? Yes, they've got HoJo Kim on the LPGA, but it's barely noticeable with LOTTE as her main sponsor...at times, HoJo is not noticeable, period. As for Becky Morgan having a Yonex bag and 13 Yonex sticks at ShopRite, that's what I call CHARITY.

sorry phil, i actually did not remember where i got my info that yokomine was using various club vendors, if i would have remembered i would have given you credit.... she used to drive to some of the usa tournamets in a motorhome... dont know if she still does... here is a slo motion video which may have been at the UL Crown 2014 where Judy Rankin analyzes yokomine's "helicopter" swing, at the max point of her backswing the driver clubhead is at 6 oclock...amazing !... www.golfchannel.com/video/sakura-yokomine-swing-analysis-international-crown-2014

Sunday's 9-hole sprint will begin at the 10th hole with the first group going off at 10:30 AM and the last at 1:50 PM. One source indicates that TV Tokyo changed its Sunday broadcast time to 4 PM.

I watched Round Three on SBS Golf and they'll have a replay Sunday at 9:30 AM EST.
This is one of several YouTube postings of Round Three from Japanese TV - the typhoon impact at 10:33 -
I can't blame them for being over-cautious, hindsight being 20/20. But, the course looked terrific ... no downed trees, no standing water, no sloshing foot sounds. It was sunny and 89F, playing 18 holes was definitely doable, unless there was some unseen disaster on the front nine.

Win #5
It took a typhoon to extinguish Shibuno Fever for a day, although I heard clapping at the 18th green (must have been the grounds crew).
Momoko Osato (-1)
Osato friend Hinako Shibuno after one of her two chip-in birdies ... had they played 18 holes she could have won ... I think one of the SBS Golf graphics said the greens were Stimping 9.5, so she could have bashed her putts with impunity.
I'll take it if Misuzu Narita (-2) doesn't want it.
Chae Young Yoon (-1) and Ayaka Matsumori (+1)
Momoka Miura (-3), Kumiko Kaneda (+1) and Erika Kikuchi

another Yonex player is Haruka Morita (Wanlaolu) was in the same large group as Shibuno tied at -5... she has one win on the jlpga tour and also one win on the symetra tour... currently ranked 63 on the jlpga moneylist. if i remember correctly she missed her usa lpga card by coming in 11th on the symetra race for the card.... Haruka Morita: Been there, done that ... uh, meaning that I saw her at the 2017 USWO during Round One - that course was too much for her (played with Hye Jin Choi and Caro Hedwall). I didn't know she was down at 63rd on the money list ... she's a good player who has had a bad year, but she's turning it around with only one MC in her last eight starts. Looking back at the video, it appears she's playing a TaylorMade FW on her second shot at the par-5 18th hole. Yonex made a good move signing her after 2017, but its JLPGA "team" lags behind the other brands ... having Naomi Osaka in tennis probably busted the budget.
