This tournament replaces LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship and will be played at the same course as before; it offers the biggest purse of KLPGA tour at US$ 1.25 million.
Hana intends to make it a WGC like event; thus the invitation of many young stars from Thailand, Philippines, US, Taiwan, and China.
The purse should continue to rise to make it more attractive for international players.
This is a new tournament. The old joint Tournament between the KLPGA and LPGA was cancelled. Because they are sponsored by the Hana Bank and play the same course. Doesn't make it a tie in to the cancelled tournament. As I remembered the LPGA disrespected that tournament. By broadcasting it on tape delay.
Another none reference to the other tournament, no Defending Champion.
Edit: Also I post all the KLPGA tournaments, so I am aware that it has the biggest purse.

Even the Korean media sources are useless about reporting the arrival of the Incheon Princess ... Even with Google mush, I'm not positive on what's going on here...I'm guessing it's the birthday of some big shot who runs the Sky 72 club (MHL's home course).
