After #14, this thing is OVER...Dr. Noh is getting outdriven, hits the ball everywhere and Greeny can't catch her! I can't think of a reason why Dr. Noh wouldn't take LPGA membership immediately, instead of deferring it to 2020...who cares about the ROY award.

Noh is up 1 but this is effectively tied in the middle of the 17th hole.
Tough lie from the rough for Noh.

The Cinderella story has ended when the clock struck twelve. The young, inexperienced young lady couldn't finish the round. Made bogey on two of the last three holes. To gift the tournament to Green, too bad because she played great otherwise.

The thrill of victory. The agony of defeat.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B146v7glISk Youngin Chun really missed a chance to help herself on the money list. If she had managed to shoot at least three under on the weekend. It would really have increased her chance of keeping her card. If she make another great start, her dad need to really help her calm down. With only two tournaments left before the Asian swing. She needs top tens or better to have a chance. Otherwise to Q-School is her next journey.

First Nelly and now Dr. Noh...my reverse karma this week was scary...I'll try to keep it under wraps in the future. FYI, they pressed Tom Abbott re the Solheim Cup and he gave the Euros a slight edge. He is so right, USA = chokin' freakin' dogs.
MHL played much better this year at Portland compared to 2018, but I can't find one pic of her this week...STOP HATING!

Round 4 Wow, this was an intense end to the tournament, wasn't it? Much as I dreaded would happen, Noh was making all sorts of bad mistakes throughout the round, yet a combination of lackluster golf from her opponents and a wizard-like short game kept her in the lead. When she got to 3 shots up, I thought she might finally have it. Then Green finally stopped fretting long enough to take advantage of one of Noh's mistakes, and that was pretty much all she wrote (I swear, does anyone look like they are having less fun out there than Green? Glower glower glower). Still, it wasn't really all that necessary for Yealimi to win this one. She still put together a great finish, made some nice coin, and earned about ten thousand new fans. In years to come, people will remember this as the event Yealimi Noh lost, not the one Hannah Green won. I have little doubt she'll earn a sponsors invite or two, and should have no trouble getting through Q Series. Life is good. My favorite comment on her Instagram page came from a new fan who asked if she could wear a Stacy Lewis wig and play at the Solheim. Would that were possible! So my nearest to hometown event ends with a tenth straight bummer. Just so we are clear: in my entire life, I never attended an event won by Se Ri Pak, or Inbee, or Grace Park, or So Yeon Ryu, or In Gee Chun, or Jin Young Ko or Lucky Six. But I have attended THREE events won by Henderson. What did I do to offend the golf gods? Although I enjoyed attending, there was not a single Korean in the top 8 (Yealimi, as we know, is a Yank). Luckily Hot Six rallied for a t-9th, as did SYK and MJ, but Sei Young Kim and MJ Hur both fell apart at the end after getting close to a top five. Also a drag that Youngin was not able to hang in there and get a better finish. At least she is lately producing good golf some of the time, but if she wants to keep her card, the final results need to be better. Anyways, good job by Yealimi, and I hope the Sisters recharge on their little vacations. Hwaiting!!

Just really nice to see Cougar and VerdantGarden again. Just seems like we never have time to catch up with each other. If we get together next year I’ll quit being a putz and taking a nap and seek you out on the course after my round. Warm regards to you both. Super fast round with my single Louise Ridderstrom. Shot 70. Interesting that she was first off Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Shot 67-70 with me, 73-74 without me. She obviously needed me. We finished a full 2 holes in front of group 2. Till next year. -ol’68

This is about the worst record for the two teams in the Solheim Cup. USA two and a half wins, Europe two wins. But it is treated as the biggest tournament of the year.

Saw So Yeon win on the Cactus Tour her first win as a professional. Also at the ANA and Meijer Classic. Jin Young Ko the ANA and Bank of Hope.

Great seeing you again, 'ol68! Love your reports. I ran into this guy on Friday buying two hamburgers and wearing two hats. Missed seeing HappyFan. I pretty much spent all four rounds looking at groups here and there (it's an easy course to do that) except on Sunday afternoon where I witnessed a couple of Seoul Sisters fall down the leaderboard. No Wienermobile by the way. Cambia doesn't have that much clout. I'm composing my full report in the tournament reports folder.
