Round 2 I actually got to attend this one live, and had a chance to watch Jin Young, Yealimi, Youngin and Jeongeun 6 all for the first time. Jin Young is a bit off her game right now, although she still hit her share of fantastic shots, but the other three are all playing great, and with the low scores here this week, they are far from out of it. MJ, Sung Hyun and Sei Young also are going mega low. Perhaps they will toughen the hole positions a little on the weekend? Go Sisters! You guys can still get this! Hwaiting!!

"It's my lowest score ever in my golf life, so I'm very honored." I was standing just off to the left of picture when she was giving this interview. As I mentioned in my fan report, after the interview, Paisley congratulated her for a great round and a great interview, then gave her a high five.

Hannah Green is probably the most miserable looking LPGA golfer I've ever seen. Hope she's okay.

Look like the Korean golfers are dropping down the Leaderboard again. I don't think that Jin Young Ko can bail them out this time.

Greetings from Portland again, I’ve had a real variety of cultures represented in my pairings. I’ve had a Swede, 3 Americans, a Spaniard, a Mexican, an Australian, a Brit, a Japanese, a Thai, and finally, one Korean (Jeongeun Lee) Yesterday, Friday, I had a double carry with really not much notable in my morning round, (first off first tee)except I did have Charlotte Thomas, English by way of the University of Washington (GO HUSKIES!!) who shot a good 67 and was tied for second when our round ended. Noted in my afternoon round is that I got called into emergency duty after a sign carrier called in like 10 minutes before his time and cancelled, so I got to go out with the group of Gabby Lopez, Charlotta Ciganda and none other than the Solheim Captain, Hall of Famer, Julie Inkster herself. All I can say is I really hope Julie doesn’t pull a Nancy Lopez and keep playing competitively going forward. Actually she really can still putt, and is a Veery straight driver of the ball, but just doesn’t have it in any other areas any more. Faded badly down the stretch and missed the cut by a mile. Please Julie, retire, please, please. I thought I was going to kinda be stoked with her but she didn’t say Boo to me or the walking scorer, and she wasn’t all that fan friendly either, prolly had the CUP and the picks on her mind. I guess I can say I did carry the score sign for a Hall of famer. Her one notable of the day was on 7 (our 16th) when she didn’t care cause she was so out of it, that she went ahead and just drove it through the green while the group in front was putting. Startled them. To her credit she walked over to the 8th tee where they all were and apologize profusely. Everyone was fine, after all, it’s Julie Inkster!! This morning got to the course bright and early, noticeably cooler this morning with clear skies. Then had a guy come up and beg me for my first off, first tee slot, it was a single today, so he could zip around the course and get home in time to watch lots of football. (Best of both worlds to him) So I traded and ended up going off at 8:55 with Emma Tally and JeongEun Lee. Wow, did we stink the front 9 up. But before I get into the round, I had lots of pre-round drama. I was on my way to the first tee when I bumped into Cougar. Hey, greeted each other…who ya got? Looked at my board I have the 8:55 group, Talley and Lee, E…. Who?!?!? Lee, E..Humm don’t know a Lee, E….Talking it over, looking at the program we determined that for crying out loud, they had the wrong name on the board!! Well, I had 15 minutes so I turn around and hoof it back to the tent. Hey you knuckelheads, wrong name, needs changing. So they frantically search through the sea of scoreboard names and don’t even come close to a Jeong Eun Lee….is she Lee6?.....NO!!! Well no problem, we’ll just make a new name card…. 10 minutes go by and here they came back…….with the SAME name card. Throw it on my sign. We can’t make another right now, she’s had this on the sign when she's gone the last two days, she can do it again…. WTHeck?!?!....OK, off I go back to the tee. I arrive just as the group begins their walk down the fairway after teeing off. I catch up after telling Cougar “the story” and he sees the sign. Him: WTHeck?!?!? Talk to the caddie. Turns out Cougar and Denny, Miss Lee’s caddie, are tight. Nope, Denny remembers the sign being Jeong E Lee the day before. But we shrug, what can we do? So if you saw me today, Miss Lee was: Lee, E all day and I felt pretty foolish. I think you can file this under “You had one job to do……” Good grief. Back to the round, for some reason the round jump started on 10 for both Miss Talley and Miss Lee. All the sudden we started making birds. Miss Talley went from 2 over to finish 1 under for the day with lip hanging bird tries on 16, 17 and 18. Miss Lee was on fire with 4 in a row at 10, 11, 12, and 13 and a very near miss at 14. Finish with a super back nine of 31, a solid 66 and a minus nine overall. Miss Lee plays VERY fast (Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and chipps ANYTHING not 100% on the green, even a ¼ inch off. Pleasure to watch and cheer for. Very gracious. Miss Tally now is officially in my book as THE most friendly golfer I have ever carried for. Thanking every volunteer out there she saw. She even came back and struck up a conversation with me walking down 14. Class, Class, CLASS all the way. Stopped and signed for a mob of little girls after the round at 18, as did Miss Lee. Super day for me today. Just one more thing, after reading back through this thread a bit…I hope you guys get some cheese with all that whining your doing. Yikes!!! Who's that a nod to? -ol’68

Godspeed to 18Majors as he drives across the country overnight to Portland.
Yealimi would have been a bold captains pick for Solheim but it would have created a lot more buzz than MP or SL.

Round 3 I bet that Yealimi had more fans following her today than she did yesterday, when I was one of the only ones in her gallery. I didn't get a chance to watch this one, but wow, she must have had something in her Wheaties this morning! Fantastic 64, and a three shot lead. Way to go! Alas, none of the other contending Sisters did much of anything today. Lee 6 and Jin Young both even par, Namdalla struggled, MJ Hur did OK but not nearly well enough, and Sei Young Kim was cold the day after her 61. Poor old Youngin Chun realized where she was and shot a 76. OK, but what happens tomorrow? We've seen that players, even experienced ones, who shoot great rounds can turn around and be quite mortal the next day. Youngin went from 66 to 76; Sei Young 61 to 73; SHP 65 to 73. We've also seen Yealimi produce plenty of stinky rounds this year in LPGA events. Does she have it in her to hang in there one more day, or will it be her turn tomorrow to do what Youngin did today? I have no idea, but keep in mind also that low scores are out there. Could someone like Lucky Six, 9 back, catch fire and produce a 62? It could happen, and if so she might sneak in and grab this one. That's why this event isn't a joke like Thornberry; it IS possible to look really bad on this course, and it's possible to kick absolute butt. Whatever happens, let's hope the Sisters will produce some magic. Hwaiting!!

Yealimi and Nelly are exhibit A and B in the case against the American Golf Industrial Complex and their unwillingness to sufficiently sponsor women athletes. The next time one of the players grab the mic on TV they need to say something or nothing will change.
