Women’s golf savant CBS Porter was just asked on Men’s Golf Channel if he thought SHP could separate herself as number one and he said it’s more interesting to see if and when Fassi and Kupcho can make it into the top 10.
As if we needed more proof marketing and advertising works.

Fassi and Kupcho just underline the POWER and the DAMAGE that keep the LPGA the hell off Augusta National The ANWA has done. People who care that much about Fassi and Kupcho?... that means Augusta was the only Women's event they watched this year. You know, because people watching ONE half day of Ladies Golf a year really grows the Women's game... right Fred Ridley??? Fassi is Tiger? She's going to dominate??? Uh, that's completely delusional. Suzy Whaley, you know better. What exactly are they trying to accomplish here? Maybe they are courting that super lucrative Mexican TV Deal for Women's Golf which does not exist.
And this feels like when Sex in the City was super popular and people/media would tell you that Sarah Jessica Parker was definitely just as beautiful and sexy as the other three. When in reality: "She looks like a boiled horse!" - Jeremy Clarkson .
Or maybe like Tracy Morgan, everybody in the industry really REALLY love him and heap praise on his comedic prowess. Even though he's not funny in the slightest.
Golly, what would happen if ACTUAL LPGA players got to play at Augusta? People might get to see women golfers who actually ARE dominant ( and a whole bunch of ladies who actually DO have movie star looks and personality ) But thanks to Augusta, they won't see them at Augusta... AND they won't see them at the Dinah either because keep the LPGA the hell off Augusta National The ANWA is the same week.

I think the Fassi love affair is fun to watch--in particular seeing a player get swept up in her own media hype. Actually when I read her "Why not me?" quote I almost feel bad for her.
She is perhaps being groomed as Michelle Wie's replacement. As the, you know, face of disappointment in North American golf.

I think Fassi proves my point about the depths of North American LPGA golf fashion. One person dresses like they are on TV and everybody faints. (We can probably leave our own personal views about how beautiful we think someone is out of it.)

"Whaley said, Fassi can single-handedly grow the game among Latinos, a segment of the population where golf struggles."
Why??? Here's the way i interpret this: Lorena Ochoa and Lizette Salas didn't grow women's golf among Latinos, because they weren't pretty enough? because they didn't have enough personality?? That seems wrong and dangerous on many levels. (including which of those three has "film star qualities", i've got Fassi in 3rd place)
Not to mention, completely antithetical to the "Drive On" ethos.
Poor Lizette, now she's been told she's not American enough, and also not Mexican enough.

By the way you can tell when you listen to them talk about women's golf. They are pretty scant on the details of what happened.

Also, can someone explain to me why Nelly Korda is being comparatively ignored? I'm not a huge fan, but even I can see that she's attractive, tall, a huge hitter, has a complete game, and is not nearly the head case Thompson is. And she's American. Yet I can't recall a single article about her in Golf Digest or Golf Magazine, while Lexi has made the cover several times.

Manipulating the public must be intoxicating.

US Sponsors and the LPGA should be beating a path to Nelly's door. I think it goes to show how deep they are in the tank for Lexi and the US Military.

Nelly reps a Korean conglomerate on her hat and bag, wears Japanese clothes, competes occasionally on the KLPGA. Perhaps she is being blackballed.
