In Gee had a really nice round this morning! 5 under 66, hit every fairway, 16/18 greens, 31 putts, and her driving average was 254 (she had a 280 drive on the front nine, so the second drive was probably a lay up).
More of this and we should start seeing her in contention again. Go Dumbo!!
[EDIT: they keep changing her score! First it went from 67 to 66, now they're showing her as having shot a 64. Hey, as long as it keeps getting lower, I'm happy!]

Did they show or explain how NASA made an 8 at the par-4 13th? She's -4 with 6 holes remaining.
NYC's sixth MC in eleven starts.

Maria Fassi and Anne van Dam missed the cut by 4 and 3 shots respectively, no thanks to the GIC hype machine.
They both hit some very long drives though.

Both Maria and Anne came with great credentials; they're more than long drive contenders. Golf is fickle; not unusual for players to win tournaments then miss cuts or vise versa. Long drive is an asset, not a liability.

Long drive is an asset, not a liability. My comments were not a reflection of their ability, which I'm sure will improve as these rookies develop their game on the LPGA. It was a comment on the industry that is so hungry to crown a new superstar before they are ready...at the expense of others (like the World #1) who legitimately deserve the fawning attention.

Great round by Sung Hyun Park to tie for the lead. Danielle Kang - 8, Hyo Joo Kim -7, Jin Young Ko -5, Inbee Park -2 are all tied for third. Good Leaderboard for the sisters. Can't Ignore Carlotta Ciganda tied for the lead.
Also minus fives today for So Yeon, Amy Yang, In Gee Chun, MJ Hur . Tied at minus eight for the tournament with several others.
Jeongeun Lee5 posted a minus six, minus six for the tournament. Seeing as how so many birdies are being made. You will need a great ball striking and putting day to win.

Not only Jin Young being mostly ignored. Except the last tournament when they only mentioned that Brooke Henderson and Thompson. Had a chance to replace her as the number one golfer.
Jeongeun Lee6 came in with, I am sure better credentials than Van Dam and Fassi. She will run away with Rookie of The Year Honors. Where's the hype for her.

Round 2 Inbee struggled a bit, but still managed to hang in with a 69, just two back. It looked to me that the problem with her putting is that her stance is not quite square, so she's not hitting straight through the ball but rather imparting a bit of spin to it. It's not the same smooth, buttery take away and follow through I'm used to seeing. Anyway, I hope she fixes it for tomorrow, because a win is definitely in her grasp if she does! In Gee went to 10 under, then they decided she was at 8 under after all. Oh well, still a good day today, a 66, and still a great chance for her first top ten of the year. So Yeon, MJ and Amy also had 66s today and are also tied at 8 under. Good birthday for So Yeon! Let's see if she can notch another top ten. Sung Hyun is tied for the lead and is playing hot right now, and the Forgotten #1 Jin Young Ko is only two back, as is Hyo Joo. Lots of Sisters can win this! Time to end this little mini-slump and get a win. Hwaiting!!!

I get the feeling Six is going to groom herself to be a superstar; no help needed from the LPGA or the media!

Interesting interview format. Hyo Joo seems to understand all the questions in English, but still doesn't want to give her answers in that language.

Jin Young has more at stake than just the tournament!

They finally hired a bilingual interviewer. These could be a lot of fun.
