I followed Jeongeun Lee6 today and she definitely then have her "A" game. She missed almost half the fairways and five greens. It's a credit to her strong will that she shot another two under par. Another thing is that she's not familiar with the course. Also she just finished two tough tournaments and may be mentally tired.
Jin Young made bogey two of the first three holes. But has made an eagle and two birdies and is at minus six after thirteen holes.
Looks like Muni He and Youngin Chun will make the cut.
So Yeon minus four today is minus seven for the tournament. But Henderson back to back minus eight put her in a difficult position as for as winning.

SYFan, check out Karen Chung tomorrow...she just birdied #8 to go six-under with one hole remaining in Round Two. Follow Mama Chung's scouting report: "She's a good golfer...and a good girl!"

I guess that makes her ace unofficial then, doesn't it?

Round 2 Wow, just not a good week for the Sisters. Not a leaderboard that gets me very excited, a huge lead by one of my least favorite players... And you know they aren't going to show Korean golfers at all unless one of them shoots 59. So it looks like I'll be taking this weekend off. Sisters hwaiting!

So i hate to stick up for them. But they are contractually committed to what they can and more importantly what they CAN'T do. Especially during the Majors. It's part of their contract with the USGA/Masters/etc.., they cannot show any worthwhile programming to compete against The US Open. (and especially NOT other golf) GC went over nearly an hour today, apparently in violation of their contract not to show "worthwhile programming" against the US Open on Fox. Maybe there's a waiver or escape clause if Lexi and Brooke are in contention. Although I'd quibble that that's "worthwhile programming." Go Su! https://www.instagram.com/p/Btc-njNlRQM

Followed So Yeon today and her game needs more work if she expect to compete for Championships. The number one thing that she needs to do is drive the ball better. Because this course plays pretty easy from the fairways.
I don't remember them having five par fives. Number eighteen is a joke playing it as a par five So Yeon had short birdie putts on four of five of them but only made one. Made a bogey on the other one.
Jin Young Ko and Jeongeun Lee didn't have a good day scoring either. In Gee Chun had one of her better days, so hopefully it will carry to tomorrow.
One great thing came out of the day, So Yeon and Jin Young will be paired together. I wasn't sure which one that I would follow, so I don't have to make that decision.
Muni He 66, maybe her best round on tour or one of them..
Edit: So Yeon was probably the only person even on those five par fives. In Gee was four under on them. Thompson was six under on them.

For a while it looks like a two-woman race between Brooke and Altomare but both cooled down in the middle of their back nines and some of the field caught up before Brooke finished strong. Lexi played 18 like a violin. Look forward to tomorrow's round.
I want to attend this tournament some year. Can't lose when it's sponsored by a grocery chain. I miss Safeway sponsoring the Portland tournament.

Round 3
Didn't watch today. I was excited to see that In Gee had such a strong round. She's still too far back to win, but if she can do something similar on Sunday she can finally break the top ten jinx. Meanwhile, Youngin Chun silently had a decent day and is actually ahead of a bunch of Sisters. It would be awesome if she could come up with a nice paycheck finally.
I would get more excited if I had any feeling at all that Su Oh or Annie Park were going to win, but I just don't see it happening. Good luck to them anyway. I feel like Thompson is due another last round flopperoo, especially after going low today. It would be great if one of them (especially Su) could take advantage!
It's not Lucky Six's week, but I keep telling myself, she had her previous worst finish the week before she won the Major, so let's hope history repeats itself. Jin Young has definitely cooled off since earlier in the year, but she still has all the parts, so unless they make Hazeltine yet another bomber's paradise, she should make a decent showing there.
Come on, ladies, rally and have at least a few top tens this week! Let's get one or two 62s. In Gee in particular hasn't gone low in ages, I would love for it to happen. Hwaiting!!

It could be a big break-Su for Oh.
I'll suspend my own account.

It was really great to follow my two favorites today. So Yeon hit more fairways today and took advantage of the par fives. She had a clean scorecard with no bogies and four birdies. A top ten tie is pretty good. She had other birdie chances but just missed them. https://www.instagram.com/p/ByyIiY8n_d_ Jin Young had a similar round except for the double bogie on eleven. She miss hit a bunker shot from the back of the green. She also had four birdies and the double was her only bogey. Her game hasn't changed that much. She just needs to start making her birdie putts again. Jeongeun Lee6 came back with a nice round of sixty seven.

FYI - In case the FOX broadcasters are intolerable, TV Asahi is carrying Round Four of the USO now:
**********
I think the short Seaview Bay course proved its worth this week in comparison to this Meijer goat track...Su Oh was -1 for three rounds in AC, but -20 for four rounds here. But, I'm glad she played well...she's the opposite of sleeping tablet Minjee.

I, too, will give my "nice try" to Su Oh as well. She had been playing terribly this season just recently missing six cuts in a row. The tied for 2nd matches her best result she achieved way back at the Vic Open. Heck, if Su hadn't yipped her birdie putt on 18, she would have been in a playoff with Brooke.

Jin Young had a similar round except for the double bogie on eleven. She miss hit a bunker shot from the back of the green. She also had four birdies and the double was her only bogey. The LPGA's website is not showing stats right now, but isn't it the case that Jin Young's one weakness is a sub-par sand save %? Looks like a project for her for the off season!

One of the worst events of the year for the Sisters. Couldn't bring myself to tune in. It was pretty much everything I don't like to see in a result, from the top on down.
But I'll focus on the positive. Somehow Lucky Six reminded herself that she was great and produced a 67 to finish T-33rd. Yes, her worst result of the year, but she managed to make it respectable. In Gee could not follow up her 66, alas. So Yeon got the only top ten for the Sisters, a 9th. Jin Young shot a 70 and only managed a t-23. Inbee just missed a top ten thanks to a bogey on the last par 5.
Well, here's hoping it's motivation, because next week is the big one. There are usually a few of these duds every year, but here's hoping the trend stops at one.
Sisters hwaiting!!
