If Dick's Sporting Goods is smart, Jin Young will have a new sponsor.

Last Friday, I followed the first eight holes of Robynn Ree, Paula Reto and Cydney Clanton at ShopRite/Acer...all three had crawled out of golf's primordial muck and made it to The Show. This week, the LPGA turned on a fire hose and washed this threesome all the way back to the swamp in Decatur, IL. Funny thing...I thought Clanton was a regular on the LPGA until I looked her up...ShopRite was her 1st start in the major leagues for 2019. I never saw her before, but she looked like a helluva good player.

Gabrielle Shipley won the Monday qualifier...frequent trunk slammer on Symetra Tour...I saw her beat Tiffany Chan in OT at the 2016 USWA.
...Selena Costible also got in. She played once on the Symetra Tour last year, that's it...don't where she has been playing since.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bynn9RenY1N I am not crazy about the pairings. I probably wont follow So Yeon until Saturday. Because I don't want to deal with Henderson Canadian Fans and go Lexi crowd. Tomorrow I will catch the end of Jin Young Ko round and Jeongeun Lee in the afternoon. The weather may be similar to two years ago. When because of so much water in the fairway, they changed a par four into a par three.

I see a couple of pairings are foursomes. Has that happened before recently?

I think this was a temporary/incomplete update. LPGA twitter reported B. Recari dropping out from illness and being replaced by EK Pederson. Also, B. Niphatsophon dropped out and was replaced by Jimin Kang. There shouldn't be any foursomes tomorrow.

Boy, the GC crew will be worn out doing 14 hours of broadcast over four days. Why so much? Oh yeah, the Fox goofs have the guys this week.
Useless trivia on the amount of golf broadcasting in the old days:
Sat. April 3, 1976 *************
Greensboro Open, 3:30 - 5 PM EST, NBC Dinah Shore, 6 - 7 PM EST, ABC
Sun. April 4, 1976 ************* Greensboro Open, 3 - 5 PM EST, NBC Dinah Shore, 5 - 7 PM EST, ABC

A massive green blob on the radar screen is passing over this area now...would not surprise me if this turns into a three-day tournament.
In other news, the Team Pano tour is hitting Wisconsin next month:
