JY Shin defends her title starting on Thursday at Ibaraki GC, about 30 miles NE of downtown Tokyo. The field of 120 includes Georgia Hall, Ji Hyun Oh and Shin Ae Ahn (but not Nasa Hataoka). A variety of TV channels will cover this...the regular weekend broadcast will be on NTV (Japan time):
SAT - 3:30 PM
SUN - 3:00 PM
YouTube might have it with this search:

Hana Wakimoto aka 87, had her sister (who is trying to qualify for the tour) on her bag last week at panasonic. don't know about this week... many of the Jlpga players have sisters that play golf but have not made the tour (usually taught by fathers or other relatives). Serena Aoki has a sister Marina who also plays. http://instagr.am/p/BxE_xoXFQWr

As a guest, Ji Hyun didn't want to thoroughly outshine her hosts; that would have been rude. Hopefully she is waiting to do the outshining on the course! Ha Neul for the win going with light blue, which in Korean is called 'haneul seck' or 'sky blue color'.

My bad. I did not know, of all golfers. That Ji Hyun Oh was not playing the KLPGA this week. This seems to be the route KLPGA stars take when they want to move to the LPGA: - Play LPGA tournaments - Play Salonpas - Play some LPGA Majors - If you haven't won, earn card through Q-Series In Gee and Jeongeun both played the Salonpas the year before they moved to the LPGA; both had played on the LPGA before that in that season. At the Salonpas, In Gee won, and Lucky Six should have won but broke down the last few holes. Note that Ji Hyun played the Kia, and now is playing the Salonpas. I think she's intending to try at least the US Women's Open. She might be hindered by new KLPGA rules from playing more off tour, though. But signs are good she's planning to move from the KLPGA in 2020. Hopefully to the LPGA!

Ji Hyun shot a tidy 69 to move into the top 20 (t-17th) and five back. Still plenty of time for her to make a move. Good luck tomorrow!!!
