What, no Rebecca Lee-Bentham cover?! After washing out in a handful of qualifiers, it looks like she's back in Canada and re-retired. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx6rRq2FMo1

After washing out in a handful of qualifiers, it looks like she's back in Canada and re-retired. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx6rRq2FMo1 I just went down the rabbit hole of Rebecca's instagram. She is the most well-connected person I ever saw. Imagine if she had not washed out of the LPGA, how famous she would be. Here's Rebecca with John Travolta, Rebecca with Arnold Palmer, Rebecca with the cast of ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat", Rebecca with film actor Dev Patel, Rebecca on the floor of Scotiabank Arena shooting around with the Raptors, etc. She is jetsetting all over the globe, on a red carpet like every other week. Who needs pro golf.

https://www.instagram.com/p/ByDzLqCl14O Great job by the first year coach. Good luck to Jennifer Chang(first team All American), Gabriela Ruffels (second team) at the Open. So many great players there, so making the cut will be an accomplishment.

One of the most bizarre stories of 2019 so far:
Without a practice round, Nao Honda (66, -6) of Japan has the first round lead at this week's Golf Liquor Zhuhai Golden Gulf Challenge (sounds like a drinking game) on the CLPGA. She took her sweet time scheduling a flight from Beijing to Zhuhai this week...when the airline cancelled it, she had to take a 12-hour train to get there...arrived on Wednesday at 9 PM the night before Round One. Honda is a rookie on this tour who washed out of JLPGA q-school last fall (her name is not on the JLPGA website roster).
Wikipedia has the results of every CLPGA event going back to 2014 and there were no winners from Japan...of course, it would be extremely difficult to find players from Japan who would want to play on the CLPGA.

Min Lee scorched Raven's Claw GC with a 64 (-7), putting her in a tie for 1st after Round One at Valley Forge. Looks like Larry the Looper might be returning to the Major Leagues next week...from his blog, he's not taking any chances:
I must admit, Min Lee has the best demeanor of any player I’ve looped for over all these years. She’s extremely confident and emotional highs and lows are not in her repertoire. I told her this on the fifteenth in the midst of her birdie run of five in a row.
After Min sunk a twelve-footer for par on the last hole to save a stellar round, I gave her my best compliment ever. “I’m taking down my picture of Jesus and putting yours up,” I said. That got a smile.
She's tied with Samantha Troyanovich...both players are here:
