Lots of surprising cuts: The Korda sisters, Sung Hyun Park, Lexi Thompson, In Gee, defending champ Moriya Jutanugarn. Plenty of churn at the top from the 1st round to the 2nd. At one point, only 3 of the players in the top ten after the first round were there during the 2nd. But it ended up at five with four of those tied at the lower part of the top ten. The lone exception was leader Minjee Lee. I was fortunate to see much of today's round including Minjee's "perfect shot" to get eagle on 14. I'm just seeing her "why so serious" profile pic. Morgan Pressel? We'll see if that continues!

Round 2 This tournament continues to disappoint for the Sisters. My recording only had about 20 minutes of actually action because the stupid PGA event ran mega long. In Gee actually made the coverage! She sank a bomb on 18 to move to 2 under and looked like she might contend. Then the wheels came off and she went way over par on the front nine to miss the cut. WTF? She is still a work in progress no doubt. Inbee did not look sharp at that point, but rallied to become the sole Korean in the top 10. She likes this course and she's close, but she has had trouble on the weekends this season. She needs to right that ship this week, starting Saturday! So Yeon and Jin Young are still in the hunt for sure, but they need to turn it up a notch on the weekend to contend. However, it's the Korean disapora who is shining. Minjee in the lead, Danielle in the hunt, and even Canadian Korean Jaclyn Lee. Hwaiting! Minjee Lee Inbee Park In Kyung Kim Youngin Chun imploded today and missed the cut by a mile Annie Park Chella Choi Jin Young Ko So Yeon and Danielle

HappyFan do you extend your recordings. Mine was extended for thirty minutes and their broadcast went beyond that. Final round I extend it for one hour in case of a playoff.

In her interview Nanna Madsen said that she needs to control her emotions. I saw her a few times on the LET and she did get a little hot, emotionally.
I'm afraid after the reshuffle of the Priority List. Youngin Chun as well as Muni He may lose their status. But you never know, players that struggled early last year got hot later.

You can lose your status? Or do you mean they will have worse status, but still a card?

I usually only extend on Sundays, but I probably should start doing that all the time just in case. FYI, I "cut the cord" in January and went with Youtube TV. At first I was disappointed because there didn't appear to be any way to extend DVR recordings. But it turns out that this is a super-smart cloud DVR which can automatically sense when a program goes over and extends the recording to the end. In the four months I've had it, it hasn't once missed the end of a GC event or any other program that went overtime. For yesterday's LA Open round, it automatically adjusted both the start time and the end time...although it didn't matter in this case because I ended up watching it live on the GC streaming app. What new fangled invention will these young whippersnappers think up next?

Round 3 Inbee had a great day today even though she still struggled with her putting. But the end provided perhaps the worst shot I have ever seen her hit. This was her approach on 17. She ended up in a deep drainage ditch, but somehow managed to do this. Talk about a gutsy shot, she could have ended up with the ball right back in her face: If she had made that par it would have been epic, but the bogey didn't hurt her too badly. She was pretty funny about it in her later TV interview, 'my main regret was that my terrible shot was shown on TV' or words to that effect. Anyway, Inbee is playing well, and the leaders are Minjee Lee, a notoriously troubled closer, and volcanic Madsen who has never won before. If I'm Inbee, even at four back, I would be very eager to attack and go for the win. She can definitely do it. Good luck, Inbee! Jin Young Ko sauntered into contention at five back, and she showed with her final round in Australia that she can go low. Sei Young Kim is also not out of it yet. Of course, Minjee is probably overdue, but will she be able to get a trophy at last? So Yeon alas was mediocre today, but with luck she can brush herself off and get a top ten tomorrow. Sisters Hwaiting!!! Minjee Lee Inbee Park Jin Young Ko Sei Young Kim MJ Hur So Yeon Ryu Chella Choi

I really meant that Muni Hee and Youngin status change if worst. Would not allow them to get in as many Tournaments. Which would probably hurt their status at the end of the year.
Well on to So Yeon who had a rough day, at the Office yesterday. She only missed two greens but had thirty six putts. So far she just haven't put it together for four rounds. However I expect that she will have a good if not great tournament next week.
Great to see Jin Young climb the Leaderboard. I don't know if playing with Inbee is good or bad for her.

Hugel and Wilshire signed up for 3 more years. I haven’t been able to watch this event yet but it gets a lot of buzz on golf twitter.

So Yeon could only manage a minus three round after starting with two birdies. Could have been worse, could have been better. On to her Sponsor's, Mediheal Tournament.
Congratulation to Minjee Lee for her great win.
Also Sei Young Kim minus five today to finish solo second.
Kudos: To Annie Park, Amy Yang (minus Seven) today and Morgan Pressel. Morgan best tournament in a while, she hung in there and finished with a birdie.
Jin Young hit a shot on hole seventeen that I would never expect from her. That creek or whatever it is, is not even in play for Pro Golfers. That shot caused her to drop from a tie for third, to a five way fifth place tie. However a top five is a pretty good tournament.
