Not a bad first day for the Sisters. None of them in the top ten, but a whole gaggle close enough to make this interesting come the cut(s).
Can someone explain the lost ball rule to me? I thought you had to identify it or go back and hit the shot again? If they couldn't get it out of the tree, how can they positively identify it? 'Oh gee, several people saw it go up there, that's good enough.' Is it? Isn't Lydia skirting the rules here? I wonder if there will be a backlash?
Hyo Joo is playing pretty well considering this is week 7 in a row. She was up to 4 under at one point. I worry how she'll be feeling come Sunday, though.
Once again, most of the top Koreans are the bombers: Amy Yang, Mirim Lee, Ha Na Jang, even Jee Young Lee made it to near the top. Inbee and So Yeon are still in good shape. Q Baek at even par is herself only five back.
Go Sisters!!

After 18 holes...the leader board was dominated by the Yanks (yes....I like about 1/2 of the Yanks in the lead) and continue to be after the am wave today....though many Yanks fell back coming home. Is Bumble Bee going to have to fight off Merica by her lonesome come Sunday afternoon? Happy do you like any white faced Yanks? Of the leaders I like Lexi, Gulbis, Gerina, Ryann, Sydnee, Lang

This www.golfchannel.com/news/golf-central-blog/lpga-explains-ruling-kos-ball-stuck-tree/Precedence might have been set.....including one from Woods when he yanked an iron shot (I think at Firestone) onto the clubhouse rooftop and didn't have to physically identify his ball. Rules ARE NEVER skirted when you get a ruling from a RO...whether right or wrong.....I know you don't like Ko....hey you might get your wish with her trunk slamming in 6 hours.

Mr 3Putt Looks like there is a change on the Leader Board since this morning. Maybe you should wait until the round is over, before you start taunted people. Go Sistas

Not only did Paige come back to tournament play, so did Jimin Kang who hasn't played since September. Neither made the cut which wasn't too unexpected.
Juli Inkster has sipped from the fountain of youth. She's matched with Inbee and young Brooke Henderson. Looking forward to watching tomorrow.

Inbee made a great move today. I like her placement on the board going into the weekend. Here's hoping if she does get into position to win on Sunday, she isn't hit with any more hole outs from her nearest challenger! Yay to Rocket, Mi Hyang, Ha Na and Amy as well. I'm really impressed that Hyo Joo has moved to within four given this is her 7th straight event. I hope she has it in her to finish strong! Lydia made the cut; I have to say I wasn't surprised in the least. It's cool that Q Baek is t-30th; still hoping for that first top ten! And how about Juli Inkster? I'm not sure she has it in her to win, but it is cool to see her contend! I always liked her, so I'll definitely be torn if it comes down to her and Inbee on Sunday! Go Sisters!!!

Let's be honest, it might be the last time we see Juli Inkster win a golf tournament. We will have plenty of opportunities to see Inbee hoist another trophy.

It was a weird day for Inbee. She made a horrible three putt on the par 5 10th, and had several swings where she let go of her club. But she also made a couple of nice putts and has the lead going into Sunday (well, tied for the lead, thanks to Thompson hitting an approach off of the grandstand onto the green for a two putt birdie on 18. How often is Inbee going to have to deal with her challengers making crazy shots like that?? Wasn't Hawaii enough for one year? I hope Lexi doesn't have any holeouts in her tomorrow!!). Hee Young managed to sneak into contention while barely being shown on the coverage. And there are some great players four back, including Korea's own Hyo Joo Kim and Ha Na Jang. Good luck to the Sisters tomorrow. Hwaiting!!!!

Go Brooke....but she's playing with Crusty Kerr....ugh. If not Brooke...I'm rooting for Lexi...but she putts like me.
Ko will likely only win under $10k....maybe her lowest pay cheque all year.....so will The Dragon Lady allow Lydia to up her donation? Tina's timing is impeccable...her golf genius is second only to BJ Wie.
