Could be a big weekend for Team Pano and O.B. Nichols. In terms of popularity in the USA, the future of LPGA is in Alexa's hand. Alexa has already attracted much more attention than Lucy Li, Yealimi Noh and Yuka Saso; even though those three may very well have better LPGA records than Alexa. I hope I'm wrong in that American fans will appreciate Lucy, Yealimi and Yuka. There really hasn't been a bonafide female American golf star in a long time, has there?. Wie was a famous and a popular curiosity, but never materialized as a star. Julie Inkster and Nancy Lopez? You need to win and win a lot.

Wie was a famous and a popular curiosity, but never materialized as a star. Julie Inkster and Nancy Lopez? You need to win and win a lot. The key is to win it early and often; Nancy Lopez set the world on fire in 1978 when she won 5 consecutive tournaments and 9 times overall as a rookie. Unfortunately, nobody took over the baton. Juli Inkster didn't win until 23. Nancy Lopez was my only memory of LPGA until Annika, Karrie, Se Ri and Michelle Wie.

Alexa Pano is -8 and she ties with 3 others for the lead.
A win by Alexa will not only boost herself, but also a big boost to Symetra Tour.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BueOTugFaSs The good news is Karen Chung is two shots out of the lead. The bad news is there are eight players ahead of her. So I guess I can only hope for her to move up the leaderboard.

With Lexi, Nelly and Alexa at the top of the ladder; it'll give LPGA incredible bargaining power for a good American TV contract.

With a star studded American lineup; it's a perfect time for USGA to raise USWO purse to $6.0 million so the winner will pocket more than $1.0 million dollars.

How many LPGA sponsor's invites will Alexa Pano receive before she turns 18? Enough so that she'll become a multiple winner before she becomes a member.

I don't know how accurate the stat keeping is on this tour...thru three rounds Pano is driving it 269 and has hit 37 of 42 fairways...considering her size, I'll buy that.
Karen Chung from Round One...she picked up a couple of strokes on the leaders Saturday, but still has to jump eight players for a win.
