Baugh won the U.S. Women’s Amateur at 16, becoming the youngest winner at the time. She turned pro at 17 but wasn’t yet eligible to join the LPGA, so she played in Japan. She was named Golf Digest’s “Most Beautiful Golfer” and starred in TV commercials. She finished second in her debut as an LPGA member, one of 10 runner-up finishes in her career.
“My goal is to be a better player. I have upcoming tournaments, including the women’s amateur event in August in the States. I hope to do well in various competitions both here and abroad,” she added.
“I was freaking out when I heard we were going to have a putting contest with a player,” Lee said, according to NBC. “I was really hoping it was Steph Curry and it was. It was a surreal moment.”
