They should be getting more. Why anybody would watch men’s golf is beyond me. Sergio? Toxic.

Aside from playing women’s pro sports at all, which is absurdly courageous and why I support them, the women in golf have seemed to lack a voice on the issue.
Happy with what they get and happy not to call out the men in golf, media and players, who have done practically NOTHING to help promote their sisters in the sport.

Love Mel Reid. www.independent.co.uk/sport/golf/mel-reid-interview-lpga-tour-european-tour-inequality-sexism-georgia-hall-a8761161.htmlIn July 2018, South Korean golfing phenom, Inbee Park, asked a £400m manufacturer to send her a replacement 3-wood. The seven-time major champion and Olympic gold medallist, who spent over 100 weeks at world No 1, was told she would have to purchase the club at cost price. “That’s a world No 1,” Reid continues exasperatingly. “People have no idea this is going on. It’s an absolute joke.” “Imagine that happening in the men’s game to the best player in the world. I understand the pay will never be the same, I understand the value of the product, but two of the very biggest companies openly don’t support women’s golf. People don’t know about the struggles LPGA players have to go through just to get equipment.”

donWhat Taylormade does everyday for Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson! We're men and we're Americans; we should be able to make a difference in this grossly inequality issue.

All the pro's have to do is say how well the women hit the ball. "I'll tell you what though, the women pure it. Fun to watch!" That's it.
It matters. There are still guys that think 4 handicap men can outplay a pro woman. It hurts the sport.

donYou spent too much time reading WRX forum. These women are good; we know it, but most of the world don't.

don You spent too much time reading WRX forum. These women are good; we know it, but most of the world don't. There should just be a sidebar on that site with a few sentences about how a market economy works so guys can cut and paste it in instead of taking 20 minutes to write it out every 5 comments.

donUnfortunately, unlike us here at Seoul Sisters, WRX is truly a snapshot of mainstream America. Fortunately, there're many Americas; and we choose the ones we like. But, WRX is always a good reminder.

Let me know when that sidebar gets added to GofWrx...afterward, I can copy & paste it HERE!!!!
Get a grip, people, the USGA doesn't print money. If they think prize money should be commensurate with revenues and overall public interest, that's logical and reasonable to me. It wouldn't surprise me if the USGA took a red ink bath at the Bedminster USWO, and Cordevalle in the middle of nowhere wasn't gangbusters. But when was the last time a men's USO was not popular?

causing a PR problem is a common and fair negotiating tactic.

It’s also likely that the USGA could flip their purses for the two events and their revenue wouldn’t drop a penny. The current payout is all based on their own conception of fairness.

Fox got soaked by the USGA on their contract. One huge price for the whole package, from pro men to geezer and womens events. The USGA could divide up the prize money any way they want.

The USGA pays itself a lot, too.
