O. Sattaya will defend her title starting Friday, Aug. 31. Not a big money event, but you gotta love a tournament sponsored by a golf brick-and-mortar chain.
No TV for Friday. I don't have the BS Japan channel, but SBS Golf will carry on Sat. at 5 PM and Sun. at 4 PM (Korea time). This link is still working:
Japan's Golf Network will also show the 1st hole on Sat. and Sun. at 7 AM. Search string for Youtube:

In other news:
* Jing Yan, Hana Jang and Supamas Sangchan will be playing the JLPGA's LPGA Championship next week.
* The fields for the last two flights of JLPGA Q-School Stage One (Aug 29-31) are posted. They include Seung Ji Han, Victoria Fricot, Supamas Sangchan, Dana Kim, and Hyun Joo Yoo.
Fricot got into this year's USWO as a first alternate. Another Karis in the making?

There seems to be an exodus of the KLPGA, is that a sign that the tour is on a downturn? Looking at gallery size there seems to be a definite drop in crowds attending the events judging by what i can see on the KLPGA highlights video they have on there website.

Looking at gallery size there seems to be a definite drop in crowds attending the events judging by what i can see on the KLPGA highlights video they have on there website. 31,000 spectators came out to watch In Gee Chun, Sung Hyun Park and Jin Young Ko played the final group of 2017 LPGA KEB Hana Championship. It isn't the same when they aren't there.

I deleted Min Sun Kim 5 from my list above, as she is playing Hanwha. It must be a different Min Sun Kim in the qualifier...I used Google translator.

Princess Mary Superal who won the Junior USGA Amateur, has spent time on the Symetra Tour. She played two tournaments this year, one cut made $350.00 Fourteen thousand career earnings. I guess she is going to give the JLPGA a try. I just really enjoyed watching her final match at the Junior Amateur. The name Princess Mary was a great fit for her.

The field for the JWO has 87 names so far, but the LPGAers Dumbo, SS Feng, SY Ryu and Inky are no longer on the list. Maybe they were just placeholders...I don't know. I think the final field usually has 120 players...the deadline is Sept. 7...Nasa is not on the list.
*******
Four drop-outs...it would really be bush if they did this because a JLPGA major is next week:
Bo Mee Lee Ayaka Matsumori Maiko Wakabayashi Hiroko Azuma
Early Thursday prep:
Erika Kikuch, Mamiko Higa, and Paul Casey impersonator
Momoka Miura and Shiho Oyama
She is Iron Girl...Kana Nagai has not missed a start this season...this will be #26 during 27 calendar weeks. Is it too much? Her last two starts were MC (five trunk slams overall).

I wonder if Yubin Heo is related to KLPGA player Dabeen Heo? Koreans often name their kids with a shared part of their first name: Inbee and In Ah Park, for instance, or Hee Young and Ju Young Park. 'Bin/Been' (same name in Hangul) and 'Heo' are not common in Korea.

Yui Kawamoto
JY Shin has to sleep on missing an easy par putt at #18...while Kotone Hori (MC) can sleep in late tomorrow.
Mamiko Higo and Lana Anai could be compared in the same group...Higa had more ball speed with the driver, but Anai hit it longer with lower trajectory.
Miyuki Takeuchi and Kotono Kozuma, both -2

I am giving up on two of my favorite players. Kotone Hori and Kyu Jung Baek turning their game around. Kotone plus nine tied for last place, ditto Kyu Baek eighty four second round. Kotone showed a glimpse of hope, but Kyu Baek seem totally lost.

Kotone Hori will need to go to Q-school to try and retain her status for next year. but she is still one of the most attractive players on tour..... there are five of these "one minute lessons"... attached is the one for driver grip.... http://instagr.am/p/BlFb18VARR-
