Yealimi 4 putted par 5 12th; proven she’s young and inexperienced.
Technically it was a 2 putt. She was off the green left, and chipped past the flag, and off the green. She used a putter on her next shot, but it's not considered a putt.

Another course with everyone going low, and another weak start for the Koreans. Amy Yang at 6 under is the only one in the top ten.
But In Gee and Sei Young Kim are two strong golfers just four back. In Gee seems to be playing really well; her putter was a bit cold, but she had a lot of decent birdie chances that just missed, so if her putter can just warm up later this week, I could see a couple of great rounds happening.
Sung Hyun Park started slowly, but rallied to a 2 under par 70, which on this course is like shooting a 75. But still only six back.
This was the first time I ever saw Yealimi Noh play! Not bad at all! She has length and hit several quality shots. She does need to work on her short game and putting, though.
I've noticed in the last broadcast(with Tom Abbott), and now here, the use of "S.H." instead of pronouncing(more like mis-pronouncing) Sung Hyun. I discussed this with Bret Lasky(when he was with the LPGA) and he agreed it could be taken as a show of dis-respect when announcers routinely mis-pronounce certain Asian names. Unlike some I believe it is more a sign of pure laziness rather than blatant bias, I mean how hard is it to go to Google and say "Pronouce Hyun please"!
Heck, there's no need to go to Google. They had a segment during the tournament broadcast where the players introduce themselves, and Sung Hyun clearly stated her name. It's not that difficult.
Maybe the folks at TGC can start calling Abbott "Tom A Hole"!
I don't know how you maintain a golf course up there without busting the budget. They had heavy rain in January and then it froze solid, killing the grass. They brought in over 200,000 sq. feet of sod for the fairways and greens. Article:

Technically, you're correct.
But, it's four putts from the fringe.
Sure, if you ignore the fact that she chipped her first shot.
Q: How many legs would a dog have if you called its tail a leg?
A: Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.
Glad to finally see Golf Channel give a rookie spotlight on Jin-Young! Thought Tom did a fair job in his presentation of her. Her English has come a long way since her interview at the Ricoh British Open in 2015. Good for her. She will accomplish all three of her goals for this year!
