Gyeol Park is most famous for winning the individual gold medal in women's golf at the 2014 Asian Games, which were held in Inchon, South Korea. Interestingly, guess what started yesterday? The 2018 Asian Games. It would be a very cool synergy if Park finally got her first KLPGA win the same week as the Asian Games starts. The games this year are in Jakarta, Indonesia. Here is a link to the page for this year's golf team. The one name I recognize is Hae Ran Ryu: Korean Golf Team 2018 Asian Games

Round 3 Jeong Eun Lee 6 shot a great final round, and it looked like she would take the title; but Bo Ah Kim managed several late birdies and caught her, then beat her in the playoff. Lee will have to wait at least one more week for her first win of 2018. 1 Bo Ah Kim - 9 68(6) 69(8) 67(5) 204 120,000,000 2 Jeong Eun Lee 6 - 9 69(10) 69(8) 66(3) 204 69,000,000 3 Da Yeon Lee - 8 69(10) 72(54) 64(1) 205 48,000,000 4 Eun Soo Jang - 7 69(10) 69(8) 68(12) 206 30,000,000 T5 Sul Ah Yooon - 6 71(30) 69(8) 67(5) 207 18,000,000 - CHEN Yu Ju(I) - 6 71(30) 69(8) 67(5) 207 18,000,000 - Ha Na Jang - 6 73(61) 67(4) 67(5) 207 18,000,000 - Seon Woo Bae - 6 76(103) 66(3) 65(2) 207 18,000,000 - Song Yi Ahn - 6 70(18) 69(8) 68(12) 207 18,000,000 T10 Ji Young Park - 5 67(1) 72(54) 69(18) 208 7,520,000 - Chae Youn Park - 5 67(1) 70(23) 71(38) 208 7,520,000 - So Young Lee - 5 70(18) 71(37) 67(5) 208 7,520,000 - Hye Jin Choi (R) - 5 68(6) 71(37) 69(18) 208 7,520,000 - Ji Hyun Oh - 5 68(6) 70(23) 70(29) 208 7,520,000 - Gyeol Park - 5 72(42) 64(1) 72(44) 208 7,520,000 Bo Ah Kim Celebrate Trophy Yoon Ji Cho Gyeol Park Jeong Eun Lee 6 Hye Jin Choi Seon Woo Bae Ha Na Jang Ji Hyun Oh Han Sol Ji Da Yeon Lee So Young Lee

Final Round Bogner Ladies Open Highlights I am not happy. The last time that I checked Jeong Eun6 had a three shot lead. I thought that she would win.

What can you do? No offense to Kim, but Lee is one of my very favorite players on the KLPGA, and I've been patiently waiting all year for a day like today, when she could finally get the monkey off her back and get a win. She shoots a 66, her other main rivals are not playing all that well; normally that would spell a win for Lee.
Look at it this way: that's two straight runner-up finishes. She keeps putting herself in position, she'll get the breaks sooner or later. They aren't about to change her nickname to Unlucky Six!
