Ah Reum must have made bogey on the last two holes or a double. The last time I checked she was minus sixteen thru sixteen.

The Round Three video is interesting...Hwang rolls in a birdie putt at the par-3 17th to get to -16 and kisses the cross around her neck afterward...haven't seen that before. She pulled her drive into the left woods at par-5 18th and hit two horrendous water balls en route to a double bogey. Assuming Hwang doesn't do a total choke job, Min Young Lee is the only realistic threat to beat her.
Round Four stream of 1st hole here starting around 6:20 PM EST (below). The first group at #1 will tee off at 6:40 PM EST.
The regular broadcast begins Sunday at 2:30 AM EST and should be available at one of the links I posted at the start of this thread.

Double bogey on the first hole notwithstanding, Momoko Ueda still always seems near the top of the leaderboard after all these years.
I'm starting to put the more obscure names together with their faces, thanks to the occasional glimpses of the caddy bibs. Would it kill them to put English name translations onscreen like the KLPGA?

I think the amount of English at these JLPGA events varies...I remember at one of the recent ones where the P.A. announcer did the intros in Japanese and English. At this one, the standard bearer signs are Japanese on one side and English on the other. Considering how many of these tournaments end up on Youtube in one form or another (and the JLPGA doesn't seem interested in removing them), adding names in English would be an improvement for the global viewing public.
That was a lame bogey start at #1 by Ah Reum Hwang...now one shot ahead of Min Young Lee thru three holes. This could get ugly.
The groups that started at #10 have arrived at the 1st hole...waiting for a couple of my favorites to pass through, Kana Nagai and Miyuki Takeuchi.

A telegenic threesome just completed the 1st hole, Chie Arimura, Rumi Yoshiba and Pei Ying Tsai

They had so much rain that someone's tee ball buried in the 1st green up to the equator.

Wow, Hwang just birdied 5 & 6 to regain her three-shot lead.

Wow, Hwang just birdied the par-3 7th to lead by four shots...should I even bother to get up at 2:30 Am?! I queried Hwang's name at the KLPGA website and she does not have membership there...she rampaged through Japan's Step Up tour in 2007 and has remained in Japan since then. I just checked the OnOff web page, as well the OnOff FB & IG pages, and those dummies have NOTHING on Hwang.
UPDATE: Did a look-up of Hwang's name on Naver and Daum...not a lot of news or pictures out there. The most newsworthy item I could find was from January 2014...while driving in Japan, she hit and killed a 90-year-old pedestrian, which got her a one-month suspension by the JLPGA. A translated quote from the article below:
"I was heading to the hotel I was staying at, and the road was a one-way lane and there was no signal and no pedestrian crossing."

Hwang's lead dropped to two shots thru the 10th hole.

I think I may have missed something in the translation regarding Hwang's suspension in 2014...she didn't play her first event until May 30 - June 1, which is like a 90-day suspension. Whatever it was, it doesn't look fair to me.
It's too bad The Kid couldn't sneak in there and win it because Hwang and Lee took turns throwing the tournament away during the last four holes. Hwang took it after one OT hole.

An article said Hwang switched to a center-shafted blade putter in June and it sure has made a difference...she is T-17 or better in her last seven starts

Congrats to Hwang. I recall the traffic fatality when it happened and her punishment, and that she seemed to be in career jeopardy as a result, at least as far as the Japanese tour is concerned. I guess that's been forgiven following her suspension.
Korean press says it was her first win in 9 years and second career win on the JLPGA.

It's the OnOff Twitter page that keeps track of the JLPGAers. They did an Ah Reum Hwang posting two hours ago, but she's hard to find in that stream before that. I'm sure a WITB article will be posted later...a Twitter pic shows several lead strips added to the soles of her woods. I think her new putter is a Scotty...during a June practice round, Saiki Fujita said her old putter was heavy and not fitted with her stroke.
Team OnOff, Ji Hee Lee and Hwang
She tied for Sunday's low round, 66
2015 champion Erina Hara and a future winner on the JLPGA (probably this year) Sakura Koiwai
