The golfers that are chasing Ariya would play with less pressure if Sarah Jane was leading. They would know that they had to keep making birdies to have a chance to catch Ariya. So they would go flag hunting, which could lead to more bogeys.
Sarah Jane would probably have played with more pressure if she was leading, instead of second place. So it's hard to say how it would play out if things were different.

It will be a suspense-free final round; Ariya can shoot even par and still wins easily.

Round 3 Yeah, this one is over. Sorry, nobody is catching Ariya this year. She makes plenty of mistakes, but she makes so many freaking birdies that it doesn't matter. And on a course where length is such an advantage, none of the other contenders, even if they were closer, would be on an even playing field with her. On the plus side, Ji Hyun Kim is having a really great week. I hope she can bring it home strong. Also amazing to see Hyo Joo Kim at 6 under; how long has it been since she was close to a Major win? If she can equal her performance in round 1 of the Evian she might be able to make this interesting, but even a top five would be great if she can manage it. Inbee is still not playing her A game. I think the rain has made it really hard for her. Still, I'm going to hope she at least shoots one great round this week, just to get a measure of payback and help her to guard against losing her #1 ranking. So Yeon was so frustrating! Great birdie, then the next time they would show her, bogey. Over and over. Some really bad weeks: Hye Jin, In Gee, Inky (a 77 today!). Lucky Six did not have a good day, but she still might manage a top ten, no doubt while never appearing on the coverage. Go Sisters!!!! Hwaiting!

Although I know Ariya is going to win, I'm also thinking she is way overdue a weak round. Even a 74 or 75 might not be enough, but it wouldn't hurt, that's for sure...

Jin Young's first three rounds were not great, but not that bad either. She had her best putting day, 24, but it was a result of hitting only ten greens. The wet course played too long for her great iron approach shots. She probably ended up hitting a lot of rescue clubs. However she did lower her score by two strokes each day. That's a positive to take to the final round.

Enjoyed the obligatory Se Ri tribute. They’ll get mileage out of that one.

The forecast is dry until 1:00 PM local time.
The early groups will play a different course from the first three rounds; drier fairways and lightning fast greens.

The only suspense left is whether In Gee will run out and hug Ariya first, before her mom and sister get to her like last time.

The stream will be following Queen Bee & Sagstrom. I was hoping it would cover the penultimate pairing, Ji-Hyun & Hyo Joo, but I guess following two Koreans for 18 holes is too much to ask of an American broadcast.

One good thing to come of this is that Hyo Joo Kim no longer graces the side of a milk carton.
The race today is to see who finishes inside the top 10 and earns an invite to Charleston next year. Lucky 6, Megan, Su and Nasa will need to find their mojo on the back nine to make it as one and possibly two amateurs are in the hunt as well.
