A couple of interesting notes. 1) Back in 2012, another Korean rookie had a chance to win this event in her very first LPGA start. How close did So Yeon Ryu get? Very close. Coming into the final hole, she was playing in the final group, tied for the lead with Hee Kyung Seo, who was also in her group. After Seo missed her par save, Ryu had a four footer for par to grab the win. But she missed (argh!), and the tournament was settled in a six player playoff, with neither Seo nor Ryu claiming the trophy.
2) Last year, Jin Young Ko got off to a fairly slow start. While Ji Hyun Kim and Jeong Eun Lee 6 grabbed multiple KLPGA wins, Ko was still trying to get her first. She eventually didn't win until the summer. This year, she got off to the fastest start possible. Funny what a difference a year can make! 1) Hmmm...another example of Classic Korean gag/choking. 2) Happy, now that I sent 18majors packing for four months are you replacing him as The King of Useless Info....just askin. BTW...if you miss him...he posting his nonsense at WRX during his sabbatical.

By the way I think the young lady going to the scorers tent with Jin Young was her manager. I met her only once at the ANA,but I am pretty sure it's her. So if that lady with the Under Armour hat is REAL Ko's manager....then she's enough reason to attend any event just to fanboy her....she might have been her interpreter too. FAKE Ko also has a cute manager too....Sura, her sister. But she's quite shy...not like Tina.
