Watching it live...Phokan was +1 on the first ten holes while everyone else was making up ground...then she doubled #11...she has looked totally demoralized since then. BLOOD IN THE WATER AND HERE COMES CYBORG! Unless she makes a blunder on 17 or 18, this thing is over. You always hear golf commentators talk how the players MUST take advantage of the par-fives...well they flashed a stat saying Hye Jin Choi (-10 overall) is -9 on the par-fours. Looks like they have a decent turnout of spectators...I think there's a rumor than Whan wants the LPGA in Vietnam next year...it would be a logical replacement for the Reignwood gangsters.

Round 3 Parinda Phokan was on course to become the first non-Korean to win on the KLPGA tour in over a decade (unless you count Haru Nomura, who is technically Japanese but also half Korean by birth). There was only one problem: Hye Jin Choi was in the field. And as Phokan started to struggle, Choi made her move. Third career win, and first win in her first tournament as an official rookie. Stopping her from getting Rookie of the Year will be a very tall order. Heck, she might be setting herself up for a run at Player of the Year next season. 1 Hye Jin Choi (R) -10 F -4 66 72 68 206 T2 Gyeol Park -8 F -4 69 71 68 208 T2 Yeon Jung Seo -8 F -4 70 70 68 208 T2 Eun Bin Lim -8 F -2 69 69 70 208 T5 So Yeon Park -7 F -3 69 71 69 209 T5 Hyun Su Kim -7 F -2 69 70 70 209 T5 Parinda Phokan -7 F +4 68 65 76 209 T8 Ye Na Jung -6 F -3 72 69 69 210 T8 Ji Hyun Oh -6 F -4 70 72 68 210 T8 Bo Bae Kim 2 -6 F -2 71 69 70 210 T8 Ji Hyun Kim 2 -6 F -1 70 69 71 210 T8 Ji Hyun Kim -6 F -1 71 68 71 210 T8 Seon Hwa Lee -6 F +1 67 70 73 210 Hye Jung Choi Ji Hyun Oh Ji Hyun Kim Eun Bin Lim Parinda Phokan Ye Na Jung Gyeol Park

Win #4...don't forget the LF Points Championship- they all count!! LF Points is not an official KLPGA event and doesn't count towards win totals or season ending awards.

The 2018 KLPGA schedule hasn't been posted yet...I assume the Lotte opener on Jeju Island won't be until the first or second weekend of April. It would certainly make sense dip a toe into the LPGA waters before then.

Good come from behind win for Hye Jin. I nodded off after her chip in for her third birded in a row. I woke up to see her approach shot to eighteen and see that she was still leading by two strokes. Also to see Eun Bin Lim miss a very short birdie putt , for outright second place.
The final group had a little trouble finishing, especially Parinda Phoban. Which was expected, but still a good tournament for her.

They usually don't post the KLPGA schedule until close to the start of the next season, so I wouldn't expect it for a while. They usually start in April, but there are sometimes special events earlier, like the World Ladies Championship in China, co-sanctioned with the LET.

I don't think CYBORG is managed by The Dark Side (IMG)....so I think she might not be applying to too many LPGA events for an invite....the only obvious invite is the Lotte in Hawaii.

Is The HULK a big SHAM nowadays?...she's rarely even on the top of the KLPGA leader boards.

I just watched a bit of the replay...the KLPGA needs to stop the stupid water/flower petal showers...it's SO LAME. I wonder if CYBORG will outplay Namdalla in 3 years...I could see TERMINATOR say...... enough of the sh*t and hang up her clubs in 3 years time..... just to spend time with her dog. I'm so disappointed CYBORG didn't register for LPGA Q school....we need another Sista to slaughter the white faces of the LPGA.

They usually start in April, but there are sometimes special events earlier, like the World Ladies Championship in China, co-sanctioned with the LET... ...and the CLPGA, so given the hissy fit China threw over the THAAD deployment I wouldn't expect the KLPGA to be invited to that party just as the Hyundai China Ladies Open was cancelled. Only recently has Beijing allowed some tour groups to travel to South Korea: only from Beijing and Shandong, booked over the counter rather than online and avoiding any contact with the LOTTE group, on whose land the THAAD battery sits. Hopefully some more thawing in that relationship will occur when Presidents Moon and Xi meet in Beijing this week.Kevin

The difference should be obvious. Icecat is presenting some relevant background information about the Korea-China political situation that actually affects the way the KLPGA does business. As far as I can tell, he is not promoting a political opinion or trying to get a political discussion started.
